Not at all, it’s a 19 year old tournament, and Savoie isn’t a guy that’s going to be in the top 6, and every one of those guys outside of maybe 1-2 translate better in the bottom 6 and have tons of skill.

Hasn’t been duel eligible in a year, though I know it’s just your bit and saving face.

Very happy for Hinds. He is our best defenseman by far in Sherbrooke and he fully deserves strong consideration.

His stock will rise if he makes the team. Beastly defensively, smooth skater, very good with the puck.

I hope he can make the squad.

We will miss Roy and him if they make it, but meh, experience of a lifetime, Phoenix can afford to lose a few games.

Victoriaville will be happy with Sherbrooke missing 2 and Quebec 4.

William Rousseau has been overlooked because of a disastrous Draft year but since then he has been solid, especially in the playoffs last Spring. Happy to see him get invited.

We know Wright will be coming so that’s another cut - there’s a strong chance Guenther is coming, likely another cut.

I’m thinking 5 cuts at minimum at the forward position.
 
What about Brandt Clarke ? Lots of rumours about Wright and Guenther being loaned but Im not hearing much about Clarke...
 
I'm not that surprised about Savoie, there have been rumours that things aren't good there with Hockey Canada and he hasn't scored so much that he cannot be ignored. Very surprised about Ceulemans though. Draft pedigree, has played for Canada at the U18s. Will make a bit more sense if Clarke ends up on the team.

Personally I'm not that sure Savoie wouldn't have a chance to make the top 6

Bedard, Stankoven are absolute locks.

Othmann, Fantili have a good chance of making the top 6.

Other then that, who would you say is above Savoie? Roy? Dumais?

Korchinski and Allan are the top pairing on the Thunderbirds. They will definitely be playing together this tournament.
 
Glad to see Schaefer at the camp. He'll be on the bubble if both Wright and Guenther come back, but I think even then he will make the team.

Here is the projected roster by TSN:

Personally, I think Schaefer could make the team over Stillman/L'Heureux, especially considering they weren't invited to camp, but if Wright/Guenther/Johnston all get released, it'll be a tough roster to crack.

once again head scratching snubs to not even be invited let alone make the team. No Mateychuk, Savoie, Geekie but Dach, Greene and Samson get invites.....ok. Also even if he'd only be the 3rd goalie this year Bjarnason should be there as he'll be the likely starter in the next 2 wjcs
