Wright was the captain of the same group of players when they won the U18 tournament, was he not? Complaining about him being the captain is complaining just for the sake of complaining.
Shane has an attitude problem because he doesn't wear the toilet seat crest.

Ice looks beautiful for the first of two games in Moncton before Team Canada shifts over to Halifax for the World Juniors.

What a team, what a tournament this is going to be. Back to normal, this is going to be an exciting Christmas.

It does look nice - I'm sure the boards have been given a fresh paint job. Hopefully, the game will be packed.

not big fan of wright as captain but oh well i suppose.. boldic whining seems childish also going to the media in quebec just because he is cut lol?
There were two articles in that paper regarding Bolduc getting cut. Basically they suggest that everyone knows that a player from Quebec has the odds stacked against him compared to other players, because Simon Gagne says so and because Mario Lemieux and Dave King didn't get along at the 1984 WJC. Also we just know that Quebec players get picked later than they should in the draft because GMs pick players from west of Quebec to appease their friends. The unfairness to Bolduc was clear when he was not given ample PP opportunity in the USports games. It is also stated that while most teams in the NHL are American, we all know that it is English Canada pulling the strings.

No mention was ever made that several players from Quebec did make the team.

Regarding tickets, even games like Austria-Germany are nearly sold out in Halifax. Looks like less than 200 single tickets available at the moment for that game.
That's why when hosting in Canada, it should be in junior Cities/Arenas. Edmonton last year was an embarrassment.

Hockey Canada got greedy (what a surprise) and in the end, it bit them.

Feels like this Canadian team is just a hyper powered version of the last 5+ years of WJC Canadian teams: Absolutely electric on the top, with some puzzling decisions made in the lower part of the forward group that ultimately will most likely not impact much in the preliminaries, and a defence core with a lot of pluses and a lot of minuses. My big worry is guys with penalty trouble like Ostapchuk and others will sink em on 4v5.

Yeah at the very least they need to let the big cities cool off and let the desire build. I'd love to see the tournament in Quebec City again, in Saskatchewan again, and somewhere like London.

I’ll be attending all 22 games on the Halifax World Junior schedule. I can’t wait, I’m hoping the lower bowl is packed every game!
Some of the most fun games are the random ones where you have no rooting interest. I'm quite certain that the lower bowls will be full every game in Halifax.

Halifax had an amazing atmosphere last time. Dmitri Patzold came in an unknown and left a hero with some unreal performances in the German net. Halifax did it right.
