Since it seems the Ducks will likely finish bottom 5 this year, I figured we should have a thread for discussing the implications of where the f***s will finish in the standings. As well as what factors could affect where they finish.

Tonight was interesting as all bottom 5 teams earned 2 points sans the Ducks and the Hawks.

Hey Folks,

Want to clear some of the air here, Tank talk is not an issue, please talk tank to your heart’s content here, totally understand how critical it is for that Future Potential Top pick. The issue is posting in the GDT, like you want the team to lose or make posts that you are angry they are winning or won the game, or bashing the team for not tanking.

The main reason is, to respect your fellow members. The GDT is about discussion of the game on a live basis and then post game discussion and opinions. A lot of fans are not rooting for the team to lose, and everyone has their views and opinions towards tanking, and may not want to discuss tanking in the GDT

If you guys have any concerns, feel free to PM me or another mod, and would be happy to explain more in detail.

It is now 6-1. Post-Horvat trade and with the rest of the deadline coming, they have officially entered the tank race, especially if Demko isn’t coming back. Their goaltending is cheeks

There were a ton of Canucks fans talking about Bedard being theirs when they were like 10th in the odds.

Just checking in to mention the last truly great player to hail from the direct Vancouver area was a Duck as well and his name is Paul Kariya, so...Bedard belongs to us.

Tank watch for tonight

Chicago vs Montreal

Columbus vs New Jersey

San Jose vs Pittsburgh

The big one will be if Chicago can get a win tonight.

Just for hell of it st. Louis leads Florida 2-0 in the second, Ottawa is tied with the isles 1-1 after two. Both are clear of us by 10-11 points, but never know.

Sharks were the better team and made it interesting late with a Timo Meier goal (they're going to be so bad when they deal him), but ultimately lose 3-1 to Pittsburgh. Very bad night for the tank brigade.

Chicago and Toronto trade goals in the first 1:02 of the game, tied 1-1.

Other notables tonight include Arizona hosting Tampa and Vancouver welcoming the Rangers to western Canada.

Chicago was blown out, Arizona is tied with Tampa 0-0 in thw second despite being outshot 29-10, Vancouver up 1-0 early in the first.
