WC: 2023 Sweden Roster Talk

You do realize an average of 24 (USA is closer to 25 than 24, but w/e) doesn't mean U24, right?
 
Same story as with EP . We dont have money. How is this gonna be fixed. I guess folin is back.

swedish hockey is dead. without our stars we cant take medals. whats the point anymore to follow this NT. It wont ever change. Swedish mentality puts a stop to this with "happy as long we have roof over our head".

Imagine best on best tournament with none of our stars...

It has nothing to do with EP or Nylander being creedy or their clubs being creedy. Its a lie made up by our federation to cover the fact that they dont have money.
 
That was expected. This just keeps on proving my point that the NHL monopoly needs to be broken otherwise this is just going to keep happening.

But it is not only Sweden with a huge amount of declines this year as well. Czechia, US and Canada also have weak rosters this year.

I was thinking that this year it would actually be strong rosters, since it is the first "normal" year after the pandemic. But instead it is weark than last year. Czechia had Pastrnak and Hertl, Canada had Barzal and Chabot, Sweden had Dahlin and Nylander.

I really think something must be done with this tournament to prevent it to fall to obscurity.

the difference is that other nations stars players, did not wanna play. while nylander and ep wanted to play, but we have no money to bring them over. its only we who have money problem. gigantic difference.
 
I guess we’ll see what happens its either the NHL teams making a mess on purpose but I also feel like this might be some swedish management issue since this has never happened before and now has happened multiple times in one year. I guess we’ll find out if it is that if Boumedienne were to be let go with out a real explination either later this summer or right before the EHT starts again.

Can someone explain the money part? Seeing many say Nylander isn't coming since we won't pay. Pay who? Nylander or Toronto or..? Never knew money played a part in if NHL players join or not.

We have no clue if this is the same insurance issue as EP. That’s Eye of Ra’s assumption, please completely disregard all speculation because we simply do not know what it is about so we’re just speculating.

In a best on best tournament you will have your stars, this isn't a best on best, far from it.

Ignore Ra, he's presenting his own speculation as fact when in fact it's based on nothing at all.

As far as we know in regards to Nylander: insurance wasn't an issue, same with his willingness to play and health. Last we heard from Nylander is that he was going to talk with Leafs management about it, which happened at the same time as Dubas not being re-signed, and all that jazz.

So a logical presumption is that Leafs don't know what'll happen next to their team, if they want to trade Nylander or not, etc.

Ep and Canucks where said to want insurence money for his next contract or something. And now Nylander who was said to have been cleared...is not gonna join. Seems like same thing going on with Nylander...no money to pay for the insurance.

Also why could Liljegren join if Dubas is the problem..

if we cant bring over ep and nylander, because we dont have enough money for their insurance, how then can we have it in a olympics with NHLers?

Why aren't you including Adam Larsson in this conspiracy? I mean, why else wouldn't they wait/contact him? Sweden has no money for him, right?

Cmon now, all that stuff will be worked out with no issues when the next top flight tournament happens...........whenever that is.
