Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.

I mean I wouldn’t say Bruno, Eriksen, and Mount are similar players at all. It’s pretty clear though that ETH is going to use Mount to add a high level presser in midfield behind Bruno. Whether or not it works is tbd.

They all have their strengths further up in the midfield. I don’t think Mount can handle that roll at all. This transfer would only make sense if they think he’s a backup for Bruno imo.

I mean I see what ETH is going for. He wants an 8 that can press and transition the ball from defense to offense. And Mount young enough where he can start 50 games in a season where Eriksen can’t. I think it makes sense tactically, I just question where Mount is the right guy for that role.

That’s been the report.
Most of Chelsea’s big exits have been handled now. Lukaku will drag on, and the rest can probably be picked off one by one as things go here.
But there have been pretty consistent reports of a second MF signing. It’s just unsure whether that will be an AM or a CM. Veiga, Szob, Lavia, Kone among reports. Who knows.
There are also reports of another ST, although a more proven one. Which I’m against

Plus this means, depending on what positions he'll fit in exactly, theoretically it could mean some midfielders could be rested more. Eriksen definitely needs it, it became clearer towards the end of the season that one 90 minutes a week is enough for him. Edit: which you sort of addressed in the post which didn't show up for me at the time.

I think teams can be perfectly competitive without paying such absurd wages. They maybe just need to broaden their range of targets during transfer windows.

So pleased with this window, both in terms of the targets, the commitment, and the timing.
Get the outgoings fired up. Tierney, Balogun, Pepe, Xhaka, Partey, Cedric, Tavares, Lokonga, Runarsson, Trusty.
Loan Marquinhos and some other youth players (Patino, Flores, Okonkwo, Hein, etc.)
That's a full summer as far as I'm concerned.

I dont see it as an issue at all. Most teams would love to be in UNited's position in terms of purchasing power.
