I blame the supporters for some of this commentary though. What would you be saying if Man United was pulling this shit through another one of their clubs? It's the same thing. Newcastle are our competition and they own a bunch of clubs. None of them should be allowed to have our player on their terms.
I will always blame the leagues/organisation that accept it. Not the supporters. Chelsea are also starting something similar with Strasbourg. Red Bull have done it for decades. The game of football is rotten and it's too late to fix it. I do not believe in fairy tale or morally superiority. All players play the game because of money and always have nobody is fully clean or moraly superior.

The reasons LFC have better player than Aston Villa for instance is not because that LFC are such a nice place, it's because they pay more to their players, it's that simple. Yes LFC have more appeal because of their history but money is still and always will be the most important for players.

Strasbourg is more like what Manchester City is doing though. Cross-promotion opportunities, a place to loan your players for development, and a talent pipeline in another country. It's unlikely Strasbourgh is going to start offering a hundred million for Arsenal players, for example.

What if Chelsea start buying/disrupting other players in Ligue 1 to help Strasbourg?

The funny thing is they’ve bought from Rennes, Lyon and Monaco this summer

This is one of the reasons I might be taking a break after this season. Really falling out of love with the game

By the way, I don't think there's any massive conspiracy here either (any player SA buys helps Newcastle lol and wasn't their interest in Salah always present? He's the greatest ME player of all-time) but the multi-league operations are disgusting and I hope every club who engages in it loses for three infinities.

More likely to see that happen. None of it is good. The situation we were discussing though is if Newcastle started buying from their Saudi competitors.

I don’t think much of Chalobah, but a Disasi level player with proven success when not playing against top six sides is a pretty good player in European standards.

Either good enough to be a rotation CB at the top end like he should be now if we hadn’t stupidly signed Disaster or a starter at a lower tier club.

His wages aren’t ridiculous either. Actually very fair. Very surprised there weren’t more bids for him.

Bayern selling Pavard and Gravenberch without replacements is weird to me. Villa not signing a Mings replacement. List goes on. Feels like a lot of teams could have made improvements and the market has shifted towards being a buyer’s one towards the end here IMO.

Cancelo (and Felix) finally done, about time. Happy we got a RB again after years of suffering

Still weird seeing Amrabat going to United. He was at Club Brugge a few years ago, basically as a backup for our three man midfield, so he didn't really play a lot. I remember one game where we played Standard Liege at home and he completely destroyed their midfield on his own, which gave us a glimpse of the player he could be, but he never really followed that up with consistently good performances and eventually he was let go.

BTW I don't know if it has been mentioned but today Chelsea apparantly made a €30M bid for Club Brugge's Antonio Nusa. Thank god Brugge rejected that. Chelsea are basically run like a 13 year old runs his Football Manager club; searches for the thirty-something top prospects in the world, bids on every one of them and see what gets accepted or not.

Ruined my o/u 6.5 prediction when Brugge rejected it. While it is nice to see some actual investment in prospects, they have too many in the same age group.

You can only build so much leverage when you have so many players. It’s obvious they want to partially finance the club this way but teams know they’ll have to sell some of these players, and they are already struggling to get some of these guys desirable loans.

Wait did, Salah actually move? I thought he declined the move?

Also, Arteta was quoted saying that they're not bringing anybody in. Yikes...

Frankfurt acting like shit....

That's a really funny comment by you evilo considering the club you are talking about here. Hell, when I see PSG coming in for my player, I would increase every single one by 50%.
200M could get you Kvaradona and a legit DM and CB that the team needs. Only issues are that you're waiting til next summer and can Liverpool attract that level of player with no CL?
200M can easily get you Osimhen or Kolo.

Is there a reason Gravenberch wears 38. Terrible number. Bajcetic still wearing 43 which is also terrible. Bad kit number vibes

They are probably ok not replacing one of the two. They have Mazraoui at RB and Laimer/Kimmich can both also cover that role. Equally, they added Laimer up the middle. One additional player to cover CB/DM/CM though would have been expected though, I just think all the options fell through.

This will be interesting.

Chelsea will be running a big squad with Deivid Washington reportedly staying as 3rd ST.

Poch wanted 22-23 players. He’s getting 27.

ST: Jackson, Broja, Washington
RW: Madueke, Palmer
LW: Sterling, Mudryk
10/SS: Nkunku, Chukwuemeka
CM: Enzo, Gallagher, Lavia
DM: Caicedo, Ugochukwu
LB: Chilwell, Cucurella, Maatsen
LCB: Badiashile, Colwill
RCB: Thiago, Disasi, Chalobah
RB: James, Gusto
GK: Petrovic, Sanchez, Bettinelli

Not as bad as last season, but that squad is still too big.

Current rumors are that if Liverpool accepts it, he'd be willing to go, but won't push for an exit if Liverpool don't accept the offer.

Who actually knows though, could easily be the Saudis using the media to try and unsettle him/Liverpool.

I don’t think LFC pick up the phone for less than 200m

I also don’t think this is over yet

It’s bad because Poch has been clear.

They’ve made big mistakes in not forcing the Cucurella situation, as well as the signing of Disaster making no sense.

I think 25 would have been fine given Nkunku/Broja/Chukwuemeka injuries. It would have essentially been 24 at most until end of January.

But they’re already going to be asking questions on who makes the bench after the INTL break.

Right now, Lavia/Nkunku/Chukwuemeka/Broja/Reece/Chalobah/Bettinelli/Badiashile are still out. But that already puts them at the max 11+8 for the bench.

It’s just too big. They should have been at max 25.

Jesus.

He sucks. Malang Sarr of wingers.

Good for Sturge
