I remember he was tweeting a ton about one of the United sagas. Maybe Sancho? But I don’t remember him being entirely accurate.

As for Cucurella… it’s fine. Of all the names we’ve been linked to I think he has the highest ceiling. Would be a very short left side, but meh. It’s not like Reguilon, Alonso, or Tagliafico(at this point in his career) are noticeably better.

Definitely Sancho. He claimed to be in Ole’s inner circle but somehow never broke news or got anything right. He would do the “I had heard but” bullshit after transfers were done

I think he knows some about the Bundesliga but he’s not gonna know about Salah or Liverpool

This is very needed

Would be a very nice addition stylistically. Don’t think he’s quite as good as we want our 8 to be, but having someone who can dictate the pace of the game a bit and can pick a pass is desperately needed. If he can just be good enough to get through this season that would be huge.

Probably. After all, Klopp said they were getting Caicedo.
Klopp never said this. He said a bid was accepted. Compare to when they signed Endo for reference.

But neither are reliable when it comes to telling the truth on transfers to be fair

I've seen what a trainwreck he was at Chelsea and I also have years of experience of players coming in to United and I'm really hard pressed to think of a single one in the last decade who struggled elsewhere but was suddenly unlocked back to his old self at United.
You didn’t have Ten Hag. All I’m saying is step off the ledge. This isn’t the worst move. Hell you could’ve got Alonso. Which tbh isn’t the worst move either. It’s a stop gap option. At worst.

Yeah I’d much rather Cucurella than any of the others. Hell if Malacia could look good in ETH system then Cucurella should (hopefully).

I’m happy about Cucurella and Amrabat coming in. Neither are going to be the permanent starters but they both have potential to be good stop gaps. Hope we have an option to buy for both of them. Hell go after Todibo and do the same while we are at it.

I’m sure what to expect from Cucurella. Could range from solid to horrific. But I feel like Amrabat at worst will be a good depth option and a pretty big step up from McFred. Even if he isn’t a starter level he should add talent in depth and stability that McFred don’t provide.

Yeah definitely. I mean I think the biggest thing is it sounds like we would have to tolerate Cucurella (or Alvaro Fernandez or Dalot) at LB for max like a month or two. Also could he really be worse than Malacia? Gives us another FK option that’s left footed too. I’m hoping for passable, expecting slightly tolerable but still a weak link, dreaming of our LB solution.

Amrabat I agree I think at worst he’s more skilled Fred. At best he’s a more athletic but not as smart Eriksen.

Not sure if it's related to this advancing but FC Lorient apparently wants to loan DVB: Lorient tries the big shot Donny van de Beek!

I think Fernandez would be fine short term offensively(from what I saw from pre season), but defensively he’d get exposed quite a bit.

I think Amrabat would be an upgrade on Eriksen currently. Younger and more athletic currently but a similar skill set.

He’s tainted from chelsea but Cucu was considered good not too long ago. I wouldn’t be unhappy if I was a united supporter
If they're getting the Brighton version of him this is a shrewd loan move. If they're getting the Chelsea version, it's going to make me yearn for the days of Tyler Blackett starting at LB.

Yeah. I mean it's pretty much the same. You go in, say your head isn't in it, and Klopp won't play you.
If they sell Salah, and aren’t bringing anything else in the fans are going to revolt. LFC if Salah needs to go they need to do what they did with Coutinho and keep him until January; but then they need to be very decisive in January

Liverpool turning down loan moves for Tyler Morton (Hull) and Nat Phillips (Boro)….

No one is coming

Cole Palmer (Man City) to Chelsea for around 55-60 m euros. I get he wants playing time but Chelsea is an odd choice for that.

I think that's been pretty likely since they got Endo.
likely, yes. Disappointing, also yes.

there’s money, but there’s no plan. Two/three signings away from being no worse than the 2nd/3rd best team in the league, but instead content to fight for fourth because FSG don’t care about winning.

instead here we are with the smallest squad in the league having learned nothing from previous mistakes.
