Their big board is a bit messed up & they haven't updated the team needs for when the CPU picks... Which leads to some strange results.

I got about 15 picks into a full user mock, but it just gets so difficult to predict exact picks at that point so i gave up.
They fixed the Bills pick just now (130).

Three ways things could go, as far as my sims are going today:

1. There isn't a run on interior linemen, and the Bills take one at 59. BPA at 91 (which is usually Daiyon Henley)

2. Someone slips. I've had Sanders available a lot and Simpson every now and again.

3. No one great is available and Beane trades down.

Daiyan Henley tonight anyone ? smaller though
He's got the best ability in the draft to sift through blockers rapidly and can get to ball carriers. Better at that than Sanders and Simpson. If he was 2-3 inches taller, he goes in the first round.

Here's what I'd love to see play out:

59: Cody Mauch, OL North Dakota State

TRADE: 91 to Washington for 97 and 150

97: Daiyon Henley, LB Washington State

TRADE: 137 to Detroit for 152 and 183

150: Andre Carter, DE Army
152: Andrei Iovasis, WR Princeton
183: Hunter Luepke, FB North Dakota State
205: Jake Witt, OT Northern Michigan

Either way they should have traded up to get an active WR.

At this point, given where the Bills will be drafting from now until the end of Allen, I'm open to the Bills waiting for Diggs to go full malcontent, parting ways, and then going the Diggs/Adams/Hill route again.

It's radio consultant playbook 101. It get's the low-hanging fruit of barstool fans to call in.
Sal is really the only rational football guy over there. He seemed to have to talk everyone else off the ledge last night and today and began sounding a little frustrated despite saying TE was a sneaky need of late.

Mayer is a better all-around TE as he can block well. Kincaid is the better route runner and pass catcher.
The video I saw Mayer looked slow to the eye, but he did make plays. Dallas passing on him is very telling I think. There are still strong TE's available today.

Do the Academy players get a waiver from service btw ?

Yes
But the other stuff is making it unrealistic :

59 MLB Drew Sanders
91 OT Blake Freeland
137 DB Riley Moss
205 IOL Juice Scruggs

I'd take it...
That's why I do it so many times. So I can see past the smaller amounts of anomalies. Sanders isn't making it to 59.

Another comparison to Kincaid I liked after going back and looking was Mark Andrews, especially in the end zone. Not sure if @Husko will agree or not ?

I think a point not mentioned much today (other than Cowherd of all people) is most the better teams in both conferences (KC, SF, Phi, etc) have high end TE play. (without going into semantics if Kincaid is a TE or Slot).

I really like Buscaglia and wouldn't lump him in with the WGR and TBN losers at all. I think he's the best thing going in Buffalo Bills sports media. I think his observation about Shakir stands, he had very poor production relative to the amount of snaps he played. Maybe the issue was more Allen not having faith in him as opposed to him actually not getting open, but the production wasn't there. Evidently the Bills didn't have much faith in him either, as seen by the parade of old guys they brought in end of the year to erase him.

I like (most of) the Cover 1 crew for what they are, amateur fans doing this as a hobby, like us. Some of them really get on my nerves on twitter when they get too high on their own supply, though and start seeing themselves as better than other fans (or some of the silly feuding between different podcasters - there's enough space for everyone folks).

But back to the topic at hand, the WGR boys are being insufferable, that we can all agree on.
My biggest concern in regards to last year is that the bolded was more the issue, especially with the reports that Allen was heavily involved in advocating for Beasley and Brown to come back. They were not particularly productive and I think the offense as a whole took a step back when they were re-signed/re-integrated.

Ignore that Goodell said "Tight End, Utah". Dude is straight-up a big slot WR. Beane even said it himself.
He's not going to exclusively play the slot. He played plenty of snaps at Utah on the end of the line, and I'm willing to bet he will here too. If teams do play nickel against our 12 sets, he should be able to handle blocking the big nickel corner on run plays.

Not sure anyone posted the Kincaid USC highlights (16 catches), here it is for anyone that missed it.

Sal digging deep on this one... Throwing to a TE when a coach or play design tells you to is very different than designing plays and teaching your QB about what to key on as the play unfolds.

I'm not sure one can draw conclusions about coaching philosophy from their playing career. Kingsberry was a spread QB under Leach, and in his time with the Cardinals they were among the league leaders in 12 personnel. Reich played in the K-Gun with 11-personnel most of his pro career, and the Colts ran a power run game focused offense while he was there (although maybe not the best comparison since the K-Gun focused on the run way more than people realized).

Sorry the kid from Notre Dame is much better. They need a new #2 WR cause Davis is not it.
Mayer is to Gronk, as Kincaid is to Kelce. You're not going to go wrong with what either player will provide. Kincaid is the better pass catcher, route runner, and IMO I feel has better instincts when attacking areas on the field (cut routes short when he has room to make himself open, for example). Mayer is a physical nightmare for teams to try and match against. He's able to just be open by his length, and he's the more well rounded blocker. I feel he hasn't shown those instincts to improvise as well as Kincaid, which I feel is a more needed trait due to Allen's ability to extend plays.
Either way they should have traded up to get an active WR.
What sort of WR were you looking for exactly? A guy for the outside? For the Slot? A Dynamic/Speedy guy? A good Route Runner? A Big Guy?
