Sorry man, but I feel like this is some serious revisionist history at work. He was the 4th TE on our poll, and he was behind two other WRs that are still available. If he was such an amazing receiving threat then more people would have been buzzing about him predraft.

If you wanna just be positive that's fine, I'll get there myself eventually, but I feel like he got overdrafted based on an amazing game against a shitty USC defense.

Our big board is one of the few that didn’t have him very high haha. He’s a player most though the bills wouldn’t have an option in getting, so I think he was out of sight and out of mind

We gave up a 4th to move up 2 spots.
Thank you.

Not sure I'm a fan. Kincaid is a legitimate weapon for sure - but i liked the idea of Washington / Mayer more.

Unless some stuff comes out regarding interviews / visits - Kincaid is not the type of TE they seemed to have interest in during the process.

Go read any scouting report on him.

I can tell you why I didn't vote him higher.....I don't think out of the box like Beane just did.

And you should know I don't be positive just to be positive. I'm a realist at all times. Beane thought out of the box on this one.

man sure Mayer looked slow on the highlights, and Dallas not taking him 26 says something also. He should go early 2nd certainly though

Other than Bayless liking him and thus cursing him forever, I like Kincaid, and thought he'd be gone.

I want trench help now unless value falls to us.

At this point I say get someone likes Downs or Mingo to develop for a year as your sixth receiver in the second round. Or offensive or defensive line. You can always go with the line

He more of a jumbo slot than TE2, IMO. He can be a real wild card, giving you better-than-smurf blocking on run plays and good, reliable zone busting hands on passing plays. That dual ability allows them to disguise plays better than if he was a traditional TE2 or a 175-pound slot guy.

I wouldn't do Downs now that we just drafted a slot receiver, that's all Downs can do. I'd rather go outside upside, someone like Tillman, Perry, Scott, etc.

If you're curious about how the Bills might add a power slot into their offense, check out the way the Chiefs used Juju last year.

Thoughts on Mingo? If you have any haha.

I get it, but I could still see them developing a dedicated slot WR talent for the future and even pairing that with kincaid

Mayer is basically a Witten clone. Above average literally everywhere but elite nowhere.
This is why I don't mind taking the swing on Kincaid. The Bills have a ton of lower/upper middle class pieces across the roster already, but as far as the pass-catchers go, IMO, they needed someone else with a higher ceiling to go with Diggs.
