I'm honestly shocked. The Bills met with a lot of tight ends, but they were all big in-line blocking types. I thought they might take one of those to move Knox to the slot more. Instead they take the best receiving tight end that's basically just a big slot receiver. Love it or hate it it's absolutely fascinating and completely revolutionizes our offense.

Count this as a slot WR

This certainly makes us a helluva lot more multiple. We can trot out both TEs and both have the ability to run in the slot.

99% sure we jumped Dallas to get him.

Yeah I don't get people being upset at this pick. He's one hell of an offensive weapon. Thats what most of us have been demanding this team make a priority. It makes a bit more sense too that they thought they needed to jump Dallas to get him. Very happy that they went a bit out of the box to get a great value in the late 1st rather than reach for one of the remaining WR's

I really like Kincaid, but not after giving Knox 4 years/52M. I get he’s more of a WR, but I just think there were better options, without giving up a valuable 4th that has a ton of options.

One thing you really got to hand it to Beane, he knows fans want to get to sleep and saves us 20 minutes of our lives each year!

They'll both play a ton. Kincaid will be the chess piece that gets moved around. I wasn't crazy about giving up the 4th either, but I see why they felt the need to do it given the Cowboys need at TE.

I was thinking the same thing, but the more I see big slot, and the fact the Bill's been chasing TE2 for how many years I understand it.

Also, maybe they feel Knox had hit the ceiling or lost some passion ?

I’m just so relieved by picking value that happens to be a need rather than grabbing a WR who isn’t worth the pick.

Hynes
Knox
Kincaid
Diggs

Those are some weapons to throw to!

Not on my radar because:
A: expected Kincaid to be off the board
B: it didn’t track with what they were looking at (in line blocking TEs)

But yeah, he was pretty easily the best skill position player left.

My biggest issue is trading up for the deepest position of the draft. The TE position is stocked with high upside prospects likely through the first 3 rounds.

I hated it when we did for Watkins, I hate it now.

Add in the volatility in predicting TE success and I find myself in a grumpy place
