Because his grandmother did die? And his mom did get diagnosed with cancer?

Like Really? Saying he showed up drunk when there’s no substance behind that is f***ing ridiculous and HFBOARDS has a pretty strict libel policy

And it clearly has been stated to the reporters because that’s what they’re reporting!

Padres have some balls charging those prices with zero relevancy in 20+ years
Save it dude. Nobody said he WAS drunk. It's all speculation just like you speculating that his grandmother dying impacted him yesterday all of a sudden. Did you see the presser? A manager doesn't get like that if one of his players is struggling with a death in the family. But now you're going at someone who is typically in your corner. Better put them on ignore too.

The Red Sox have balls to charge their prices without any relevancy in the past two to three.

Cora, and some decent starting pitching when healthy, are the only reasons they are not in what used to be known as Orioleville. Unfortunately he is gone either way, and Bloom will keep his job.

I don't think that will be the case. Bloom's arrogance has begun to alienate players and fans to the point that the ever PR conscious Red Sox are now getting what they loathe the most as a result. Bad press. Even from their own controlled paper in the Boston Globe. Even if, and that's a big if, Bloom gets his manager, the leash is shortened with him considering that the locker room is now in full revolt mode. He has another failure season, which is entirely possible, and then it's splitsville for him.

You may be right. Let us hope so. There was a time about a year back where I think Henry and company were tired of paying Bloom and his army of underlings. That does not seem to be the case anymore.

all of this seemed pretty inevitable when you treat players the way Blooms FO has

Because his grandmother dies and mother has cancer doesn't mean that has anything to do with yesterday's incident. That's a big stretch.

As for LIBEL, I should be jumping up & down about you claiming I said he showed up drunk! Never said it.

It doesn’t excuse it but it’s far from a stretch. Depression is a very real thing. And those are actually things we know happened.

Don’t know what else “late night out that continued into the afternoon” is supposed to mean! Don’t play dumb now cmon

not quite the Odor hit on Jose Bautista
Exactly. That Odor punch might be one of the cleanest blows I've ever seen landed in a baseball game. Knocked the gum right out of his mouth. Joey Bats was never the same player after that.....

Just watched the whole Tim Anderson thing on video. With all the chatter about it, I was expecting more, to be honest. Anderson is a punk, but I don't think he did anything over the top there. There had to be some kind of history going on there.

I also don't think that punch comes remotely close to the one Odor landed.

Sweep this team and GM right off into the dumpster. Firing Bloom should 100% be on the table.

he created multiple distractions with his antics and comments during the deadline. its a sad state of affairs when Devers has to beg for help for the team. Worst GM in Sox history. This team was rounding into form for a post season push just a few days ago before Bloom sacked it

Guys it's gonna be awesome when Sale, Houck, Whitlock and Story are back. You'd think a Yale graduate could forecast that they might be out of contention by then. Either fire him or please sell the team and go terrorize Penguin fans.

For what, 2 games until the glass brigade goes back on the shelf for a other 3 months?

Davis Schneider is not even mentioned in the 2023 Baseball Prospectus

This is basically impossible

Unbelievable

I had them 83-79 so they are right on track

Duran going to be a LF and Rafaela in CF

As for Verdugo I like him he should be 280-300 15-20 homers - can’t let home life make you late - no one excuses

Hurt his hammy on a freak hustle play and hasn’t had the chance to reestablish himself since and now he’s nothing apparently lol

He was Mexico’s most clutch hitter in the WBC. Crushed Sasaki.
Thanks for info

Funny I liked the pickup - had that Dan Paille feel of a pick up to me

However I think Urias can be even better
