Yeah I guess, idk seems like a bit of an overreaction from Ramirez imo.
Looks like his face ate the dirt at the very end (of his steal) and he saw red, although overreacting for sure lol.

Oh, I didn't notice he sack tapped Anderson until I full screened. nvm it was an upper thigh pinch. dirty.

Unless Verdugo is doing something inappropriate or a clubhouse distraction, he should be playing. We're trying to win games here, Cora.

One of the worst loses in franchise history?

Probably not in the top 100.

So what up with that?

Poor Doggie still sulking because he didn't make the meaningless all-star team?

He's in a funk because his grandmother passed away and his mom is sick if I recall.

Verdugo stuff is 100% contract. dont think sox should pay big money but its a repeat of the same alienating the sox brass does to players

They had a run going that inning and I was bummed out when I saw Refsnyder coming up to bat, little did I know he was hitting for Casas. Ugh. Bases were loaded right? At least Casas draws a decent amount of walks, maybe he would have got a decent pitch to hit in that instance.

Again, Refsnyder has the hightest on base percentage on the team (.393)

Walked the last two times he pinch hit (this week).

Based on what?

Huh? Cora was pissed. Whatever happened is 100% on Alex Verdugo.

Refsnyder is hitting .354 against lefties. Casas hitting .204.

The idea is still to try to win games.
Well, the Red Sox send mixed messages about that so I am joining in. This season is toast now anyway. So let Casas get as many ABs against lefties as possible.

As for the Jose Ramirez thing, a White Sox player (not sure if it was Anderson) pushed a Guardian off 2nd base yesterday to get an out and somehow the replay review fell for it. It was absurd. Tito got ejected over it. I was assuming this altercation was about that.

We're talking about what could be the root of the issue with Verdugo. What we know for sure is: the loss of his grandmother had an affect on him. If I recall correctly, his mother is also ill. And now his best friend was DFAed.

These could be the root of all his issues, or it might not be. However, we should not ignore these things.

Everybody has issues to deal with. It's not every day you see a manager this openly pissed at a guy. I'm not chalking it up to Christian Arroyo being let go as some understandable excuse for whatever happened. But even before this I think it's clear the organization doesn't view him as being here much longer.

I think it is clear what is going on. Bloom wants HIS OWN MANAGER which as a GM SHOULD be his call.

Ownership seems to have signed off on an average attendance of 32-33K knowing younger fans will not pay for the RF Grandstand but the seats they do sell are the highest priced in MLB.

June, July and August the Sox will sell out to tourist fans - every basball fan wants to see a game at Fenway.

It is what it is.................

If there is some type of internal conflict between Bloom and Cora then ownership should step in and make a decision. Pick one. Although what really should happen in a functional organization is fire Bloom and give next GM the power to make decision on manager.

Year 4, Bloom says he's ready to roll with this team at deadline etc. If they fall out and finish like 5 games out of the WC he should be gone. You can hire another nerd who can build off a solid farm system but actually win games too.
