When I get the sense that the organization isn't making progress towards building a sustainable winner.
New month. Starting off with a win. The Kenley Jansen underdogs have begun!

Seems like everytime they're within reach of catching the other teams, the 'other teams' lose and so do they, tonight was different but they failed over the weekend.
Just noticed the Orioles are in 29th in terms of payroll(oakland), 1/3 of the Sox, damn.
They can use the fuel and win going forward. Last year's team sulked when Chaim did nothing, this year? The team did none of that. Kenley is using it as fire and they are fine with being the underdogs.
I think they go on a tear here, imo
This team isn't an underdog. They are a major market ball club that has underachieved because the GM doesn't invest in good players and wants to take all the credit for when they win. I don't watch baseball to watch the GM be a spotlight hogging narcissist. I come to watch the stars and this team only has two of them. Devers and Yoshida.
Unfortunately, the FO doesn't care. So if the players on the team feel like they're underdogs because their GM didn't do nothing? I'm running with the underdog narrative. Its better than the players pouting like Xander did last year.
Yeah Bello and Casas suck. This team isn't an underdog. And honest question:
Do you watch the games? The only stars that you "come to watch" are the coldest players on the team at the moment.
Thank you to Dave Dombrowski againYeah Bello and Casas suck.
Was Duran also a Dombrowski pick They? Anyway, yes, young talent is exciting. But it's also only one component of roster building.3 dynamic young cornerstones are emerging all at once and if you’re a Sox fan who can’t get excited by that then I’ll go out on a limb and say you simply aren’t a Sox fan, you’re just a miserable person who will never be happy.
There is no evidence to suggest they can stop the bad defense/baserunning. It's just who they are. They have a playoff rotation that gives them a chance against anybody and they have a lineup that can hit. They just need to go on a run where they don’t play little league level defense.
The Red Sox are seven games over .500 and 1.5 games out of a Wild Card spot. Now look at him in San Diego. He's near the top 5 in WAR on a team that's in a hotly contested division for a team that's really only being let down by its bullpen. Meanwhile the Red Sox are playing hot potato at shortstop until Mayer is theoretically ready to play and have had a cavalcade of crap come down the pike every night while barely holding on to a wild card spot.
Before these last 3 games it was mostly a luck thing- he was hitting the ball hard and getting BABIP’d to death. Now he seems like he’s in a slump.Chaim should have got a SS and pitching !!!!
Oh wait ? Story hit another home run last nifgt
They are getting back 3 pitchers
Only player I wanted was Edman
Rafaela unbelievable- expert him up September
What’s up with Mayer 0-4 3 strikeouts last night
I think 1-13 with 10 strikeouts last 3-4 games
Anyhony another Homer at Greenville
Sox OF gotta chance to be very good
Mike I take a back seat to you and a handful of others here and enjoy your postsThe Red Sox are seven games over .500 and 1.5 games out of a Wild Card spot.
The Padres are two games under .500 and 5 games out of a Wild Card spot.
Bogaerts is on pace for his lowest full-season WAR since 2017. He'll turn 31 at the end of this season, and the Padres still owe him $255 million.

No. I would have traded him prior to the start of the 2022 season.Today if you could have signed him 5 at 27 per would you ? Likely eliminated a Turner signing
Thank you Sam Kennedy. It's gonna be awesome when Chris Sale comes back.Chaim should have got a SS and pitching !!!!

It's almost like you never really know with prospects. Don't get me wrong, not calling Mayer a bust. But everyone just had him penciled in for a smooth transition to every level of ball and that he would be here in no time. It just doesn't work that way with prospects. Some top picks flame out. Some low round picks are studs. What’s up with Mayer 0-4 3 strikeouts last night
