There are a number of skills required of good QBs, but one of the most important ones is knowing your own limitations. Mac seemed to have it year 1, but it's disappeared since.
I honestly don't think it was ever there. There was simply no defensive book on him through the first 3/4s of his rookie season.

Ever since there has been tape on the kid, his decision making, (his supposed strength) has been exposed as garbage.

Krusty took the words right out of my mouth. .... He could not possibly have misread the coverage that badly, could he? Never mind the floating throw off the back foot. Edit, On second look, the throw may have been there, but he got pressure up the middle. However, I doubt "back foot Mac" could have made the throw.

He threw 7 interceptions in his final 5 games his rookie year. He had a nice run in the middle of his rookie year but his weaknesses were already showing. Like i said when he was drafted, these draft experts said he was nfl ready and smart because he was a stiff who lacked any physical qualities but played in a perfect situation for any college qb. His arm talent, fundamentals and decision making under pressure all suck. Baker Mayfield went #1 and is already on his fourth team because he doesn't have the arm talent and he's better than Mac

Or even that play where he just launched it in the air almost leading to a pick 6 while being sacked. How many times have you seen him do some shit like that

I miss the days of being told Zappe got screwed by Mac fans
I mean the last time we saw decent play at that position was last year when.... f it never mind.

Do we have anyone that can suck enough to lose us the Giants game? Bill absolutely loves the Giants and dropping Super Bowls to them so of course we'll win that game and give them the higher pick.

To show that I have some compassion I am hoping they don't play Mac for the sake of Mac. I hate seeing the kid totally dejected on the sideline. I think he needs some time off from playing. I really do. Like don't play rest of the season time off. Take the pressure/focus off of him. If you end up bringing him back next year with a new coach to compete with a vet or rookie draft pick so be it. But please, the holidays are coming. Don't subject him to anymore of this. He's taken a big enough beating. Just go with Zappe or Grier.

Tanking is crossing your fingers hoping for some random luck might happen.

At least Mac isn’t signed to a ridiculous contract. I’m a Giants fan and they signed Daniel Jones to a 4/$160 million this summer. He stinks as badly as Mac and his cap hit is over $50 million. The Giants are stuck with their Jones suckfest for at least two more years, if Daniel ever gets healthy.

You will be fortunate enough to lose when we play in 2 weeks at least.

What would the NFL do if both teams simply refuse to score? Both teams have zero reason to win. Draft position is much more important than pride, integrity, respect of the game, etc.

To the fans and maybe the GM And owner.

The players will still want to win.

They rushed for 170 yds.
They held the opponent to 10 pts.

Even below average qb play earns a win today. Mac isn't even doing that.

And yet despite running all over Indy, they couldn't punch one in on the ground. Weird, no? What average quarterback in your opinion, gets them that win? I don't see it at all. I see a deeply flawed roster with zero talent at receiver, a swiss cheese o-line, piss poor play calling/game planning, and a team that takes dumb penalties every chance they get. What average quarterback is going to be able to rise above that and win? I simply do not see it. The roster is too inherently flawed.

This is the best part of it al to me. Fans rooting for the tank while there's no way in hell Bill is trying to lose. He's actually putting in full effort, and they still look this bad. That alone screams time for a change. Especially if you do get lucky enough to have a top pick and want to take a potential franchise quarterback and start over. Not that high picks at that spot turn out all that well usually. It's gotten better than it was, but it's still a crapshoot because pro football and college football are vastly different sports.

"No qb could win with this trash roster"

36 rushes for 167 yds
Defense gives up 10 total points

Yup, real trash. Not even brady could win with that support.

The lengths some people will go to to not just admit they were wrong.

running game looks good. next QB will benefit for sure. Defense giving up 10 another great sign.

Because they kept going to the pass in the red zone when the run was working.

Literally any mediocre qb would be better. Mac is the worst starter in the league. You don't think an even average guy would be worth 4 more points on offense over the worst qb in the league?

Sounds like your issue is really with the coaches and play calling then, no?

I wonder how Kyle Trask would look. played behind Brady a few years and looked good pre season. you can tell he played behind Tom the way offense went. Ya he would score more than Mac yesterday. anybody would
