I'd reccommend watching CJ Stroud, changing the fortunes of the Texans who were 3-13-1 last year, now that looks like an elite QB who can make all the throws and extend plays
You could take Stroud and plug him in here and he'd still have no impact on the record because they have a shit offensive line that can't protect anyone, shit WRs with zero ability to get separation, and a defense that can't get off the field on third downs and takes undisciplined penalties.

An ideal situation for me is they suck the rest of the year, get a high draft pick, jettison Bill from being here, bring in fresh blood from outside the organization (IE not Mayo, BOB, or McDaniels) and draft a mobile quarterback that can also pass, like Stroud or Richardson.

yes all roads lead to the same take, so having QB debates just wont happen, just saying if you're tired of watching garbage QB play, I'd tune into stroud, the kid can throw the ball and is making no name receivers good

Go back and see my edit which I was typing at the same time as your response to my initial post. I want a better QB. I just don't want Bill anywhere f***ing near whomever that is. He's not a good coach at all and the game has passed him by.

It's easy to throw the ball when you have an offensive line and have a high end receiver like Robert Woods.

I will say one thing in Bill's favor that has kind of messed up the quality of football in both the NFL and College and that's the continued cutting of practice time has ruined player development. Never have I watched a product so unwatchable than I have right now. So many dumb penalties, so many bone headed play calls, and so on and so forth. The threat of CTE has basically undercut the ability for a coach like Bill to develop players the way he used to through rigorous training. As a result, the league as a whole is becoming more and more reliant on high end athleticism to get by despite not being in game shape and more often than not that leads to serious injuries.

Robert Woods didnt play yesterday, He made Noah Brown look great though and they rushed for only 53 yards. Sometimes you just gotta tip your cap, Mac Jones excuse manual isn't universal

Our best chance at this point is probably picking Fashanu or Alt at LT around pick 5-6, and then someone like Sanders/Daniels/Penix in round 2. I just don’t see how they’re going to be able to out-tank teams like the Giants or Panthers for one of the top 3 picks.

The only game left on the schedule i think the Patriots will absolutely win is at the Giants. This game against the Colts and the season finale against the Jets are the draft pick swingers. At best I think the Patriots finish 5-12. At worst I will say 3-14. That's the range in play here. I don't see ANY benefit to going 5-12 so please just lose on Sunday. I won't sit there and actively root for them to lose during the game but please do us all a favor and find a way to lose.

The only benefit is for the Krafts because they care about this international stuff and have reportedly invested heavily in marketing for Germany.

(Which I could personally not care less about)

Agreed in terms of the prognosis. The Giants don’t have a quarterback, so that has the makings of a 16-6 Patriots snoozefest of a win.

Denver appears to have maybe gained some traction, so they might have something to play for Christmas Eve.

And the Jets are still the Jets.

I should take the offer to fly home tomorrow and go to Panthers Bears. Important game for us and one of them has to lose.

I think they beat the Colts who are very weak many places, including Qb, but other than the Giants I would not favor them in another game. No, not even the Jets who I suspect will still be playing for something and have Rodgers.

Funny to see Bill being largely respectful with the media scrum in Germany where otherwise he's pulling the NFL mic off the table and just scowling with one sentence responses. He should do more of that if he doesn't want a wholesale tar and feathering from all the media in the 2nd half of the season. That doesn't help him or the team or the franchise and costs nothing.

For the points above on tanking. At this point they need to lose and hope for a top 3 pick. The positives are one of the 4 worst teams already have #1 picks as QB that still has support from ownership so there should be top QB options inside the top 4-5 picks. Arizona is supposed to be sticking with their guy IMO and he's coming back and may be able to elevate their standings. Giants aren't going to like eating 150M on Jones and same for Denver with Wilson only to trade up and lose even more assets. That will kill them for years... TB, CHI, TEN - I see all of them coming in above the Pats with their own picks but they obviously all need QB's. Big issue is CHI with the Panthers pick as they could be sandwiching the Pats and/or able to mix and match with 2 top 5 picks to get whoever they want off the board.

Even if they are taking the 2nd best QB in 24, draft a QB top of draft and OL/WR and then spend the 100M of FA on filling the gaps and they could have an impressive turn around next year IMO. Defensive side of the ball with health they are above average. That's 100M and a draft to backstop the WR/OL/QB and if they can draft early they should have enough to make some good moves (if someone aside Bill is making the draft / UFA signing calls.)

The funniest part of the year has to be being this bad when this is as bad as I can remember the league being. There are multiple .500 or better teams that are terrible (looking at you jets, steelers, colts). So major props to pulling off the tank in this environment.

Pats versus Giants happens in in two weeks. Batten down the hatches and get ready. What "an appalling dung heap"of a game. It reminds me of the bad old days when Pats played the Colts for the number one overall pick in what was called "the toilet bowl." Anyway, I doubt an offensive touchdown is scored. Maybe the Pats will get one and only one.

You could pull guys out of the stands that are better than Mac Jones.

Every WR he threw to at Bama was a 1st round pick far better than he has on the pros its not all on him but the dude straight up sucks. But if he leads us to a top 3 pick and didn't get a second contract who cares its not like there's better options readily available and you can just sign good NFL QBs in free agency.

Don't fire Belichick let him think he gets to coach #1 overall pick if we lose out. Then trade him in the offseason.
