CBS Sports did a Mock Draft and has the Red Sox taking SS Aiden Miller at #14.

14 Boston - Pick: SS Aiden Miller, Mitchell HS (Florida) ($4,663,100 slot value)

I'd really like that pick. With Mayer in the system and developing well, they can afford to go with a high risk, high reward type of pick.

My top 3:
1. Arjun Nimmala
2. Aidan Miller
3. Colin Houck

Aidan Miller’s MLB write up sounds pretty intriguing. All 3 sound like good grabs but that’s strictly off the write ups. I don’t know how accurate they are.

Fangraphs ranks them:

7 = Nimmala
21 = Miller
Stopped after 36, on first page = Houck

Seeing I don’t know Jack shit about these any of these guys, whoever they draft, I’ll be intrigued by. I think the FO has done a good job so far with the drafting. I trust them on their decisions.

I am in the same boat, but from the profiles, these guys may be good matches, mostly based on upside. I could also get sold on other prospects the closer we get to draft day.

True, you cannot complain too much about the past draft years so far, but knowing their recent history with pitchers (or lack thereof) and having read that this draft appears to be deep and strong on top hitting prospects, I want them to snag one of these guys up.

Outside of the Houck incident this was a fun game to watch.

Gotta sayTurner has been a fantastic signing

I’m still sticking by my 83-79

Which is sad because they cheaped out and 90 wins we very reachable

You guys can't beat the Yankees enough for me, thank you
Anytime!

You must have been almost as ecstatic as we were in 2004.

As brutal as this year’s playoffs were for the Bruins, the 2004 ALCS stands almost unchallenged in the pantheon of crushing sports defeats. One can include Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl LI too, but we’re talking about the Yankees and baseball. :)

Bloom seems to like bringing in reclamation projects. Might as well draft already broken players. Yes I am not a fan of his and he really needs to go.
At least make your comment make sense, he hasn’t picked a pitcher higher than the 99th pick in the 3rd round.

swing and a miss like prime mark bellhorn

Reclamation does not have to be injured, just don't like the "lets throw stuff against the wall and see if it works"

Mondesi
Story - was injured before he came here
Bleier
Mills
Reed
Braiser - kept him way too long

So basically acquiring any depth pitcher for one of the last 40 man spots is a reclamation project.

That ain’t it!

Fans were told that they were setting the team up to be in a position to challenge for the playoffs every year to a team that is in last place in more years than not. The fans deserve better for the money they spend than what is on the mlb roster. This is my opinion and I followed them religiously since the early 70's.
