Trevor Bauer now has a 4th accuser coming forward with charges.

from espn.com:

A fourth woman has accused former MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer of sexual assault in a lawsuit filed in Arizona. Bauer has countersued the woman for fraud, saying she is attempting to harass and extort money from him in the wake of similar allegations made by three other women.

In an amended complaint filed Tuesday, the woman said she had an "unplanned pregnancy" after Bauer "violently sexually assaulted" her in December 2020. Bauer's attorneys, in court filings, described the situation as "a single sexual encounter" that "was consensual."

The woman, whom ESPN has chosen not to name, stated in her initial complaint that she had visited Bauer at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona, several times before the assault. During those earlier visits, he held a "jagged steak knife to her throat" and choked her several times, according to her initial complaint filed in December 2022.

She also accused Bauer of forcibly removing her clothes, sexually assaulting her and slapping her on December 13, 2020, before he used her butterfly braids "as a rope to choke me unconscious with my hair." In the amended complaint, her attorneys stated that the assault resulted in an unplanned pregnancy.

The woman also said in the amended complaint that Bauer "instructed that she should not keep any records about what had occurred, including the pregnancy, and that they should keep it private between themselves." Her attorneys state in the court records that she "became suicidal and went to the hospital" in the weeks after the assault and that Bauer later "slammed" her onto a computer, breaking the screen, when she was about three months pregnant. She "decided not to terminate the pregnancy" but had a miscarriage in April 2021, according to her filing Tuesday.

Bauer "categorically denies" the woman's allegations, his co-agents Jon Feterrolf and Rachel Luba told ESPN in a statement.

Bauer's representatives told ESPN that he has filed a criminal complaint for extortion against the woman. ESPN has not independently verified the criminal filing.

If that is really what Cora is doing then he should be gone as soon as possible. Everyone wants to dump Bloom and I get that and don't disagree but to me Cora has looked disinterested since he got the job back. And, frankly, if it's due to the players on the roster not being up to the caliber that he wants then he has to take some responsibility as well. At the end of the day it's his job to be the "field" manager despite the roster he has to work with. I can't agree with laying the blame entirely on Bloom. Cora has to stop trying to be the player's friend and start making the necessary day to day moves that helps the team win. The Devers situation is another example of him not caring anymore. If they stay in the organization, I'm all for Varitek getting a shot. Outside the organization there are a bunch of potential individuals they should consider. So, in my mind, Cora doesn't get to blame Bloom without taking some of the heat himself.

SP has him projected to be a reliever still but that’s encouraging stuff. Is he a fast-track candidate to Portland to see what he can do or do you let him develop in High A for the remainder of the season.

Not the season I wanted for the Sox, but at least my house on "Cora Is Really Overrated" Island is skyrocketing in value.
Just doesn’t seem like he cares. There’s no logic in not challenging the play to end the game the other night. He makes lineup decisions that are the literal definition of insanity. I think his bullpen management stinks

He’s a player coach who is getting uneven efforts from his guys. Not much use in that tbh.

Always thankful for 2018 but he seems like he may have gotten stale. Very normal after a half decade coaching somewhere, hell we saw it as Bruins fans with Cassidy and Claude before him

that sloppy mess Pete Abraham talking about how they don’t have any talented young pitching on the horizon (which is objectively not true btw) when Bello and Whitlock are their 2 best major league pitchers outside of Paxton lol

This combination is more than enough to be a 3/4/5 of a good rotation if they keep what they’ve shown up. This off-season they just need to lock down the top of the rotation.
Shoot i think Bello will end up a top of the rotation guy myself. His first outing of the season was rough (after having his ramp up delayed this spring) but he’s been money since then. Hell if they improve the infield defense and he improves the consistency of his command I think he will post numbers of a #1

Starting pitching has been dynamite lately, look out if the Sox can start scoring 5 runs a game while maintaining this rotation success!

Would be sick to get a stretch where everything is all synced up
