Chaim should have one card left to play. Not gonna happen right now but firing Cora should be his last dance.

When you build a roster that is bad at fielding, base running and lack power through the lineup, unless you have elite pitching you're going to suck. Having a lineup that can make pitchers work for their outs and when healthy a good bullpen doesn't change that. It's not Cora's fault, if Bloom doesn't fix it he should be out after this season.

Way too early to make that sort of decision, but if your best players are underperforming, you should look at the manager with a skeptical eye. After 2018 I thouhgt Alex would have a damn 15-20 year run here, but honestly his in-game management the last few years can be puzzling at times. Players seem to love him, but that magic has worn off a little.

But again, way too early. This series was frustrating, they hit well in game 1, but got no pitching. They got decent pitching yesterday and good pitching today, but no hitting. They're a flawed team, sure, but they do seem to have luck going against them, as much as they got luck in their favor when they beat the Orioles. They probably are what their record says they are. I think the pitching will be better as guys get healthy, but I'd like more consistency out of the offense rather than 9 runs one day, 1 run the next.

Good bullpen? Even when healthy and with Houck in there it is not a good bullpen.

Most projections had them as .500 team. Vegas had their o/u at 78.5. There's as big a chance this team is absolutely horrible as there is they over perform, but it's a middling roster at best.

Onto Detroit. Tigers are garbage so you have to make up for this by sweeping them. If we don't take at least 2/3 then I am preemptively throwing in the towel on the season after nine games. But win this series then go into Tampa and hold serve at at least 2-2.

The troubling thing right now is that looking at the schedule, April is probably the easiest month they have. So if they get off on the wrong foot while having the Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Angels series behind us, it's a lot of uphill sledding.

I repeat, Cora is in no way part of the problem....Other than Devers, who exactly are their best players? They are a decent Verdugo, a Japanese rookie and unknown quantity, and a 38 year old Turner. You have to expect ups and downs from that group.
