They’re playing little league defense rn

Fielding has been bad this year. Getting killed on the fundamentals. That’s on Cora/coaching

ya so we can stop pretending they will somehow be ok. they blow. next GM will be __________

We knew Yoshida was going to be bad, and we know Raffy is not exactly Brooks Robinson out there either. Casas is still a rookie who could make rookie mistakes in the field. This was all part of the plan. I could take it if any of them would actually get a hit with men on today. But everything sucks this week.

If the Pirates win this game they will become the fourth franchise with a lifetime winning record against the Red Sox

The others are NYY, the Cubs and CLEVELAND.

Is there anyone from this "top farm" that we can look back on say "wow we really shouldn't have traded that guy"?

Probably not. And even if, you couldn't complain, because Dombrowskis moves brought them the title in 2018, the reason he got hired in the first place. But what are you trying to say? A top farm not only allows you to promote your prospects, but also to trade them for more experienced players if you don't think they are the real deal. So when Cherington left, the Sox were in a pretty luxurious position, but the complete opposite when his successor was let go.

All I am trying to say is I don't care who a GM trades away if those players don't amount to anything. That's part of the job--identifying what you can trade away in terms of prospects without hurting your team. If they end up being non big leaguers or utility players etc then I am fine with that. I would take Dave Dombrowski back in a heartbeat over this slop out on the field.

Mitch Keller when healthy is pretty good. But he's not 1-hit a major league lineup good.

Alright, this is something. Perhaps too little too late.

Nothing wrong about it and nobody tried to rewrite history. Cherington obviously made key mistakes that ultimately led to his demise, but that doesn't make him a bad GM. All I did was trying to bring up facts (best farm in baseball at that time). DDo was able to score in 2018, but the assist goes to Cherington.
