I didn’t make it to any of the team NS stuff. Heard they were very competitive camps, NS has a deep squad this year. Apparently team is keeping the 14f and 8 D until after the ACC and cutting 2f 2D after that.

After watching U16 HNB try-out last week Landon Paul is still on top follow by Killfoil after those 2 there is wheeler, Alaby and michaud all had a great camp for Goaltending Samuel Quimper was ahead of the packs very solid and impressive

I watch my first game of Pierre-Olivier and He was disappointing. He score goals, but don´t impress me in the others parts of his game. His teamate, Caleb Desnoyers will be a good player!

Pedigrew in the first round is a bit of a stretch
I see him as like a round 4-6.

Also Owen Conrad should in that first round mix, by far the best defenceman in the Nova Scotia major bantam league last year broke the record for most defecnce points in the Nova Scotia major bantam league history. You could also say he’s the best player in Nova Scotia between him and rhyno i would say but it’s hard to judge who’s better considering there both diffrent positions.

I agree with you, it’s a too early first round list! When i will start watching a lot of games, we will find a lot of good players! I will add Owen Conrad to my ‘watching list’

looks like NB Canada games team announced looks like they didn't keep a few extras as they initially planned.

Also in there is the U15 team if you want a headstart on the 2024 draft elidable 08's from NB

They have 12f, 7d, 3g. Still need to cut 1d,1g.

Is this the team for the canada games too?

Conrad is hands down the best prospect in NS. Lacks some consistency but he's the real deal. Its not hard to judge who's better. One has a pro frame already and changes the game every time he steps on the ice/ Rhyno is definitely one of the fastest 15 year olds i've seen, but he's 5'7" and very slight, and will have a very hard time projecting to the next level unless he adds another element besides speed to the outside. He's been struggling to stand out from what i'm hearing at the summer camps. The D can all skate now, and there's less time and space. Small speedy wingers are a dime a dozen at the next level. I think Chandler will be best 2007 born on Dartmouth U18AAA this year. He's 6'1 and growing, can shoot, can skate, and he's slippery. Malana also, he's just as fast as Rhyno, a better 200ft player, and possibly a better playmaker. I would love to see them in a foot race. I saw that kid turn on the jets on Sunday in Antigonish, he can fly.

Love Legere too, he may rival Foley as the best power forward by the end of the season. Natural multisport athlete.

wild card is Kingsley Austin, if that kid grows, he's gonna be a stud. love his game

also love our local boys. Heard Stonehouse was very good the last 2 camps. Sinclair and Pilling should be on the team without a doubt also.

Yes I’m a huge fan of Austin as well very smart player. In fact I’m a huge fan of those 4 studs on pictou. Sim roop Conrad and Austin as I got to watch them lots this year.

Sim is a very shifty small forward. He can put the puck on his teammates stick so easily plus he can put the puck in the back of the net. But needs to grow a little bit if he wants to be just as dominant at that next level.

Roop I’m a huge fan of as he’s a huge power forward type player I think he’s 6’2 ish has a rocket of a shot and can play the body well. But I think his foot work could use a bit of work

And then Owen Conrad is that full package that scouts look for in a defenceman. He is extremely fast probably one of the fastest guys in NS for his age, and he definitely has the hardest shot in the u15 major league, also has some really good hockey sense and will definitely be the quarterback for that NS Canada games team as he also was for his bantam team in pictou this past season.

Personally I thought pictou would of won the NS bantam major league but they came up short to the very very hot ACA rangers team. I thought the rangers were the best all around team in that league, as there was not one bad player on that rangers team which is why they won the NS league. Very good all around team The Rangers we’re.

I see that tynan Lawrence will be a underager with that u16 team. No surprise there. I haven’t seen much of him but I heard he’s something else. Pretty hard not to get exceptional status when you lead the New Brunswick major bantam league in points as a 08

I totally agree with your list @Maths17 !

Some of the 07 Quebec players haven't had as much exposure as others... summer training and the start of the new season which is about to begin will allow us to see some of these players get better positions when CSR will unveil its first list of the season!

Like every year, I predict that there will be surprises in the 07 ranking!

I have watched a few games in each province and have a strong opinion on this draft class and how amazing these young talents will be. With these players being in the Canada Games 2023 it will be a great opportunity to see who is the star of the Q draft. Here is my rankings for the first round. Yet it is very early

1 Caleb Desnoyers

2. Zach Morin

3 Liam kilfoil(if plays in Q)

4 Owen Conrad

8 Landon Paul

9 Luke Foley

10 Zach Wheeler

11 Cole Chandler

12 Shawn Carrier

13 Nathan Lecompte

Too many kids from Maritime in first round. With the season going, more Quebec kids will move up.

Yet I semi agree with you I have been to a lot of games this year and was up for monctonion and think this year more maritimes will place in the first round but we will see.

I love your first list and I understand, like you I told that it’s a first list to start the season! Noah Cziment will become a star in the Q, if he come play in the league. I’m happy to see that you have Peddigrew in the list, I think is a special player and all the time he’s on the ice, something happen (play in a better province should be benefic for him).

Personally, I watched several games in Quebec and the Maritimes last year.

While it is, and I repeat, far too early to sort them out, I remain convinced that "big" surprises await. And both on the list and in the picks. I agree with the names on your list. Positioning, a little less.

For example, I think Nathan Lecompte will come out in a better position than your list. Same for Peddigrew and Carrier...

As every year on such dates, when players are faced with new conditions, a new level, a new team and new coaches and trainers, their progress curve changes.

The progression of many other players in @Maths17 's "more complete" list risks making it through the first round, and some players risk moving, by the domino effect, to the second round or so.

This is the year when some realize that talent is not enough and that you have to work hard...
