From his wikipedia page:

Of Mexican heritage, Corral was born on January 31, 1999, in Ventura, California.[1] He later attended Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, California, before transferring to Long Beach Polytechnic High School in Long Beach, California.[2] He later stated he switched schools due to Oaks Christian being for "rich kids" that were "never going to have to work a day in their lives", as well as a physical altercation with a son of Wayne Gretzky that finalized his decision to transfer.[3]

lmao
On Wiki? Then it must be true

Already heard my favorite Matt Corral story - he got in a fight with one of Wayne Gretzky’s kids in high school that led to his transferring ….’

Didn’t expect that but I would love to see the video - I’m assuming Gretzky kid went down before being hit

He tried to hide behind Marty McSorely's kid.

Pats have signed former Eagles 1st round flop Jalen Reagor to their practice squad.

Sometimes, talented players sometimes need a change of scenary/scheme.

...and sometimes, they're just not very good football players.

Probably worth a roll of the dice.

i would feel better if brady ran out in pads opening night with no offseason preparation than i do with any of these scrubs
I just don't think acquiring Corral or any backup QB is anything to be excited or upset about. They went 2-0 in games Zappe started and probably should won the first game he had to play at Green Bay. The backup QB did his job. If they end up relying on Corral for a big chunk of the season, the season is very likely lost. It's simply about Mac Jones and the talent around him. If they determine after this year that Mac isn't the guy I doubt Corral will be next in line.

I wouldn't rule it out entirely.

I mean, heading into the 2022 draft, Corral had some 1st/2nd round projections.

It is comforting to know that there are other NFL teams that cannot pick good WR's in the first round.
Nothing but good things can happen with this signing, we need a break, hope he works out.

I’m intrigued by Corral, idrc about Reagor tbh
Corral would of went in the 1st or 2nd had he not had his injury. I watched that game. I give the kid credit. While other players sat out in fear of getting hurt, he wanted to be on the field with his team and win the sugar bowl together. It takes heart to do that. He cared more about that than at the time the draft. Now some will say it was stupid because he ended up getting hurt, but I saw a leader. He came out in crutches and watched his team the entire rest of the game. Anyone who followed college football at the time knows how good he was.

He is definitely an intriguing kid.
