You say that like 15-1 was unusual.

I never said anything about their record prior to the trade deadline acquisitions.

My point about the 15-1 was directed specifically at the posters who flat out said they didn't consider the deadline acquisitions that significant to breaking the record or their season in general.

Hathaway particularly was denigrated by a couple of posters, which was odd considering Hathaway had two game winning goals in the 3rd period of tie games
in March on really nice skilled finishes. A totally legitimate argument could be made that no Hathaway, no points record.

Lol JVR was never a fast skater, he scores his goals from Just outside the crease
I would personally love to see Freddy get a shot with Zacha and Pasta. He scored 17 goals last year and I think he can get 20+.

Freddy zacha Pasta
Marchand Coyle Debrusk
Boquvist Geekie JVR
Lucic (prospect) Lauko

Would love to see

Beecher
Lysell
Merkulov

Fight for some ice time as well.

I'll never forget JVR in G2 of the 2011 PO for Philly. He literally looked like Mario Lemieux in that game, a man possessed. Think he was 21\22 years old and looked
like a superstar in the making in that game.

He has one game in the PO like that and he'll have earned his $1M salary.

That would certainly be an argument... I am stunned fans were pleased with
Hathaway's contributions versus the expectations. So little involvement aside from the fight against Tampa.

Where was the Hathaway we all despised, who boarded and effectively ended Marchand's season not so long ago?

And? Literally who the f*** cares about the points record? Especially now! Hell, why did anyone ever car about that at all?

You know what I do care about? That Hathaway was f***ing useless in the post-season, which is specifically what they got him for, not so he could help capture a meaningless points record. He deserves to get denigrated for what a ghost he was.

I like Freddy but I’d be very surprised if he was the first line wing especially after his playoff performance and being scratched.

Further, how many people here would "f****** care" if the last game of the RS was
against Toronto, TB or Florida and those teams would break Boston's record with a win?

The vast majority of people would care far more than you think.

Take Hathaway out and add Lucic, do we lose that round? I think not. Hathaway was a giant disappointment and that's being kind

Well, that TB game you reference was the same game he scored the 3rd period game winner.

Its should be obvious he was told to reign that in. A guy like him doesn't change like that unless told to.

He just as likely made the decision himself to not be so involved to avoid altering historic momentum but against Florida his lack of involvement did exactly that.

Montgomery certainly has not been a coach to turn the other cheek.

Lol, complete and total speculation on your part with absolutely nothing factual to back your opinion up.

I have already posted he scored 2 games winners in the 3rd period of tied games
in March. Also scored 2 goals against Buffalo in 2 March games. Both goals
were nice finishes, especially the goal in Buffalo. So that's 4 goals, all of them good finishes with two of them 3rd period GW in tie games. That's very good production
for a 4th liner.

Those are the facts on Hathaway's offensive contributions which paint a far more accurate assesment than your opinion. Care to tell me where Calgary finished regarding the PO with Lucic?

Good chance he had a badly bruised rib on the Tkachuk cross check in G4.

What about it? He had one fewer point than Coyle and one more than Frederic. Anyone attempting to pin any significant blame on him in Boston's PO loss is missing the forest for the trees.

Are you related to him or something? He f***ing blew all series. A total ghost and a huge disappointment.
