Bertuzzi is a good but highly flawed player. This is why no one jumped all over him. Injuries, suspect defensively, not entirely great along the boards. Willing to stand in front of net and good player maker is just not enough to give term and high cap numbers

Sweeney is now on record saying he will keep the goalies. Considering they are his most valuable ,and replaceable, players, that tells me they are done for a while.

Gryz, DeBrusk, Frederic, Forbort, Lysell, Lorhei and any other prospect other teams value are still assets up in the air. When WPG and CGY both want to make hockey trades I don’t think we can be certain they are done…especially since all the gossip sites keep linking Boston to Calgary. Now, I’m not a rube, who knows if these rumors are from peoples asses, but the fact that it makes sense to folks outside our Boston bubble is meaningful.

Sort of, Bruins actually care about defensemen and goalie. Maybe forward wise they wanted the same complimentary players, Bruins knew defense and goaltending was just as important where Toronto continue to fail with that. Domi and Bertuzzi actually make defensive play worse.

Yeah you can't say for certain, and I tend to be a wet blanket, but an early trade to address a need and give them some juice, does not fit my tank conspiracy theory, or their pattern so far. Does not fit - unless it is a terrible trade, and/or for just futures. lol

Again it's a message board. It's ok to celebrate when they win a cup and ok to be apoplectic when they lose one. Doesn't make you any less of a fan. It's ok to have expectations and be pissed about not reaching them, especially on a message board where only the most rabid hang out... Nothing sports does can change anyones life IMO but I could be wrong.

I'll never be able to relate to sports fans who don't feel winning it all isn't what it's all about. That's how I felt in the 70's and now. I don't lose any sleep over it. I don't get sick over it, all in all it does nothing for better or worse.
