Something gotta be in the works if their bringing in Domi. Defensively wise
That would make it worse no.

I am a fan of Domi and have been ever since he played in the WJC . He has all the talent he needs , if I had a choice of him a 3M or Geekie at 2M I take the former. We will see what we will see but my money is on Domi and I expect he's going to come in at about 3M especially it there is term. Being his father's son is a double edged sword.

I still think they need to move Grizz since he’s up after next year and hopefully isn’t in the longterm plans. Wishful thinking but I’d like to see Forbort and Coyle moved, free up space for this year and the next two. Ullmark might be worth holding onto until next summer when the cap goes up.
I’m with you 100%

Not at all arsed about Bertuzzi moving on, good complimentary player, but he dosen't drive a line. What upsets me is the trading away of Hall, a guy who loved being a Bruin, drove play and sacrificed personal stats by playing on the 3rd line, clearly a better all around player than Bertuzzi. We should have traded Gryz, and bought out Forbert so we could retain Hall. Sweeney really blew it here in my opinion.

Hate that they moved a guy that wanted to be here and forced his way here. But I probably would have hated a D group with three Shattenkirk level guys more.

No doubt in my mind Bergeron is coming back. Sweeney is thinking ahead finally instead of next season. He got Geekie who no doubt will replace Coyle cap hit in a year. He got a bunch of 1 year deals that will leave them with a bunch of cap space to replace Bergeron next off season. I think he knows that Bergeron will definitely retire after next season along with Lucic. I think this is a see what happens season with rookies, players like Zacha getting an opportunity as 2C, maybe things like moving Coyle to wing. Anything that works is a bonus to help with the following off season.
