About a nightmare offseason.

Everyone talks about the amazing cap space they’ll have but with what assets are they exactly going to be filling up the roster?

Nobody gives a 1C just for free, they cost helluva amount to land and Boston has one of the worst asset pools in the league.

& for next season they are bleeding out talent(while getting nothing in return) and are bringing in worse players

It’s okay, in 20 years people on here will still be penciling in Bergy on the 1st line.

Lmao i have No idea what some of you expected. Truly. It’s like you’ve never seen a team go all-in and lose before.

Here’s the other thing- we can cry about “why didn’t we do that?” all we want but A) they don’t have any space and still have others to bring back and B) you don’t know what kind of negotiations happened- you can’t force a guy to pick you! I’d much rather play on Toronto if I was trying to rebuild my value for a year!

Toronto still has to make moves to fit him under the cap and you shouldn't need a full NMC on a 1 yr deal.
As the saying goes, “the cap is crap”. This looks awful on Boston. You give Hall away for peanuts, and can’t get Bertuzzi to sign for 1yr 5.5m? I’d take Bertuzzi at that contract over Forbort & Frederic for the same number or maybe more.
