A nightmare this playoffs could turn into, as I suspected Bruins I am sure gave their all to be the best regular season team ever and are going to get burned out for the playoffs, a Rangers-Leafs ECF? probably my prediction at this point

Boston if they can survive this series might be fine but Bergeron did not even travel to Florida.

Things are falling in place for a Leafs-Rangers ECF nightmare scenario. TB was done when Hedberg was injured, game 1 win notwithstanding. TB limped into the playoffs and now they are literally limping. Boston is in trouble. They looked bad in game 1, but won and then got thrashed in game 2. It looks like TB 2019 to me. The Devils are not ready for and apparently not built for the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if they get swept.

The Islanders are teetering as well. I'm not as confident as others on this board after that heartbreaking game 2 loss. So all that is standing in the way of doomsday if Boston can't get it's act together is Florida and a beaten up injured Carolina team. Pulling hard for the Avalanche right now.......

If an expansion team can assemble a team as fast as this in two years, the Islanders can re-tool on the fly and get faster. They just need to want to value speed…
Then the front office needs to be cleaned out.

That’s what happens when you actually have talented players. But a lot of Isles fans don’t want to hear that - let’s fire the PP coach, maybe the eighth one in the last few years will do the trick
When you say "talented players", I'll qualify by stressing the importance of point players (eg., Fox, and it helps that he has the cross ice pass to Zibanijad to keep defenders busy). A stud on the point is what the Isles have been missing for years. Even when we had Leddy and Toews, as good as they were with bringing the puck up the ice they were not dangerous on the PP. And I was suggesting that one or both of them be moved to make room for a stud LHD point man. Dobson may develop, but I'm not sure I see it.

I think it will be. My feeling is that Lou steps down.
I've been avoiding offseason talk while we're still playing, but yeah, I'd be semi-surprised if Lou is back.

Not sure if it’s the camera angle, but Seattle looks fast.

Remember during the expansion draft everyone was laughing at Ron Francis? Right about now, if you make a list of top 5 NHL GMs he'd have to get consideration.

Jersey better show up tonight.

Although I don’t want to see any unnecessary injury, somebody needs to give Trouba a taste of his own medicine.

Well, he was smart enough to take Eberle instead of Bailey.

Can we get a do over?

Good to see the Isles aren’t the only team getting jobbed by the referees by high sticks… Oilers got shafted (pun intended)

Jen Botterill I think blows away AJ Mleczko as a commentator but ouch. She does not have a good voice at all for TV or radio

I expected the NYR to beat NJD, but I really hope the Devs at least make them play an extra game or two. If the refs are going to be calling a ton of penalties, that plays right into the NYR's hands (with their PP and goaltender) and makes them a Cup threat. We don't need them getting a free pass for one round with the whole "battle of attrition" thing. And if we don't beat CAR, the NYR would beat them and basically be as fresh as they would be in the first playoff game when they're starting the conference finals. So, gulp, Go Devs.

This makes me smile lol

Billionaire James Dolan trying to save money by making Knicks and rangers combo shirts. I guess he didn’t think it through that the Knicks have the same colors as the Islanders lol

Someone needs to be fired.

Jets having the sort of game I’m afraid we might have tomorrow. These damn 1-2pm starts just never seem to work for the home team
