2023 NHL Playoffs Around the League

Hickey obviously gonna get his Butch replacement audition tomorrow...gotta figure he and Fuehring are calling the game locally tomorrow as Brendan and Butch are in Tampa
 
Hopefully the Devils decide to show up tonight. Would have been smart adding a little more toughness to that team, especially since they got Meier relatively cheap.

Could have dealt a couple mid rounders for someone who, you know, actually hits, wears down the opponent and can stand up for their collection of figure skaters.

Right now they wreak of Toronto part deux, especially with major questions in net.

Devils either do real well at MSG and maybe find a split now that the young guys feel a bit less pressure on road and down 2-0 or the mess continues and they just get thrashed. Not really sure what happens
 
Winnipeg comes all the way back to tie the game at 4 late in the third period, only to lose in double OT. Fun game to watch. The refs were inconsistent in that one too though.

They had a nice mistake in the Toronto game too. Tampa had possession on a delayed call and even worse Toronto broke a stick and despite Tampa holding the puck they blew it dead

There were a few non-calls that I was really surprised by. Moments before the game winning goal a Jet was hooked pretty bad and there was nothing.

I like Winnipeg too, but I have Vegas winning the series. Morrisey got hurt early on the game so now it's even more of an uphill battle for Winnipeg.
 
I wonder if TBL will be able to keep Killorn. I can see Lamoriello drooling over him.

My point is people how say we aren’t a cup contender bugs me because we currently are one until we’re out.

Of course I’ve also been drinking heavily at the airport before I board my flight…

And we always seem to think we need more / different players
 
TBL getting hosed by the refs. Cross check to the face, only a minor, a CLEARLY lose puck blown dead as the guy puts it into the net

Anyone who things NHL referees are competent at calling games how they’re supposed to, as opposed to trying to “manage” games, is full of shit

It's funny you say that. I was just thinking today that the Devs remind me of the Dubas Leafs from a few years ago. Measuring the rafters for banners, but really, really far from having a team built for success in the playoffs.

Tampa Bay and Toronto just popped off.

Point was just crunched into the boards, Kucherov jumps Rielly and then as it starts to settle down Stamkos and Matthews go at it. Rielly might be ejected and Point went to the locker room.
