I don’t think that’s entirely accurate, that team underperformed throughout the season. They are now playing up to their hockey cards. Yes making it is everything being able to preform at the highest level is also important.

The Panthers have been waiting for this Bobrovsky to show up for the last 4 years.
This is why fans lean on the hot goalie angle when the playoffs roll around. We all saw it with John Davidson in 1979.
Not with Sorokin being merely ordinary against the Hurricanes. Remember the final goal? Woof.
At least the Panthers have the speed to counter punch against the Hurricanes aggressive PK.

yes, needed Sorokin at his best. We got his C plus game. I do feel one day this guy can get us on a deep run and perhaps a cup. Alittle more speed in our lineup sure will help.

I'm kind of embarrassed for Gretzky. Especially when Bisonette and some of the other yahoos doing their schtick. It just seems unbecoming for someone of Gretzky's stature.
A bit more speed, a PPQB, and a bigtime goal scorer. Hard to address, but not impossible.
