Michkov, Yager, Wood and Dvorsky...

It's "hot takes for views" season, what do you expect?

To his credit he has shown the ability to budge on certain players, right now he has no compilations of tracking data to work with which is his thing. His final list will look radically different I'm sure.
I mean okay Dvorsky and Wood have very apparent flaws.

Yager and Michkov? Come the f*** on Will.

I will say that his Michkov take was not really convincing, I get depending on the powerplay for production is not usually a great sign but this is not the QMJHL we're talking about here either.

Yager..............eh? It's pretty low for me too but I get where's he's coming from, I can't pretend he doesn't disappear for long stretches and is making me wonder if my top 10 ranking of his is purely due to not veering from my own expectations too much. Is he really worse than the likes of Danielsson though?

Molnar, Misiak in top 30, but no Dvorsky or Honzek? Cmon, this is a bad joke.

Dvorak and Price are already in our team. No need to draft them.

I like Fantilli but Bedard is just in another stratosphere. There just isn’t anyone executing at that speed. He is lapping he everyone in the WHL and you can’t credit anyone else for any of is production, he is the main focus of all defense and he can still do everything he wants.

The fact that Regina still sucks this much is a testament.....to something.

I think the only way to move on from Carey Price is with Caden Price (a lot of people with jerseys will be grateful)

If anyone catches some USHL games, interested to hear about their top 3 scorers,

There's Nic Van Tassell - he's a 6'4 center that's going to UMass next year, was passed over last draft as he didn't do much as a rookie in the USHL but so far is off to a great start.

Then the just turned 17 year old defensemen from Belarus, Artyom Levshunov ('24) who's putting up just under a ppg so far.

The teams leading scorer Eli Sebastian who was also passed over last year but is going to Northeastern next year.

After seeing national scouting Conman have Reinbacher as the first D listed, I decided Id watch a bit more of him after taking notes on him at the WJC U20.

His weak side pivot is still comically bad, he still handles the puck like a grenade and he makes wrong decisions on the breakout, seemingly every play.

With that said, the kid may make the wrong decisions at times on the breakout, but he's seemingly the only breakout on his team and always at the center of it, I think I was harsh on him because he was breaking out every shift with Austria (Bad team). His shot is still just as good as it was, he gets looks out of nowhere just from very good release and shooting lane vision. He has a jump to his game that very little players have, he's literally always first on loose pucks and that helps him stand out. He's not particularly weak in the D-zone, but he makes rookie mistakes, nothing to be concerned about IMO. He is not too physical from what I've seen but he is also far from soft, I still have it up in the air whether physicality will be a plus in his game.

I hate to say that but I think Pronman could be right about him being the best D in the draft.

2023 Kinda reminds me of 2020 as a draft for defenders. Theres no Dahlin, theres no Power, theres no Nemec/Jiricek, theres no Seider, Hughes or Clarke but theres solid top 4 options all over. Some teams might draft a very toolsy "2nd pair" D and he might turn out to be a #1 D out of the gate like some. (Im talking about Guhle.)

Would be funny that he becomes the next CP31
