Yager might not be in the tier of Carlsson/Bedard/Michkov/Fantilli.. but he's still in a tier above Benson. Benson is talented but the skating and size isn't exactly the bet you want to make in this draft if you can avoid it.

Grab Yager for Habs will be a very good add. The top 6 will be very good for many years to come with a player like that.

Question for you all (maybe not the right place to ask): if the panthers continue their losing streak and the pick win the lottery, does it count for one of our lottery win in the 5 years period (our 2nd) or florida?

Friday night is always a good night to watch future prospects. Some interesting games tonight.

In Q:

Moncton Wildcats play at 6 pm and have Etienne Morin (D) & undrafted Yoan Loshing (2022) playing really well.

While Cam Squires & Ethan Gauthier go up against each other at 7pm. Joshua Roy is in that game too. Cape Breton vs Sherbrooke. Squires is late 1st/2nd round candidate.

In WHL:

The 10 pm game between Seattle and Prince George has for Seattle Gracyn Sawchyn & Tig Iginla, who has started off his WHL career rather well. He's a 2024, and is Jarome Iginla's son.

Prince George's 2 leading scorers Riley Heidt (projected top 25 1st round pick 2023), and Zoehn Ziemmer (projected late 1st/2nd round) are both worth watching.

It's expected goaltending prospect Bjarnason will play for Brandon vs Winnipeg Ice at 8 pm tonight, so that will be a big challenge for him. Danielson (Brandon) and Benson (Ice) both projected top 15 picks are playing too.

OHL is too long, but Callum Ritchie (Oshawa), Cam Allen (Guelph), Quentin Musty (Sudbury), and Hunter Brzustewicz (Kitchener) all play tonight.

I believe it would still count as a Florida "win".

Also, I'm pretty sure last years draft didn't count as a "win" for us either. I could be wrong, but I believe the rule states you cannot move up to 1st in the draft twice in a five year span, but since we were already 1st going into the lottery we technically didn't move up.

Nothing to worry about it won't happen the panthers will be in the playoff.

Can forget about Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson and Michkov.

Anaheim, Vancouver, Sharks, and Arizona have staked themselves to too much of a lead while Montemblow plays like prime Hasek.
I fully expect Chicago to join that group once the GM starts food poisoning the team and coach.
One again, our goaltending is too good to be real bad...

Allen and Monty can't goao that way for long. Their Goal Saved above Expected isnzt sustainable. I fear we won't draft top 4... probably top 10.
