Big guys solid

his speed/skating would concern me though. He's the 2nd leading scorer in the NCAA among U-19 players behind on Fantilli who looks very impressive, Wood has played 2 more games but his team is no where near as good as Michigan, although losing Nazar for the season takes a bit out of that lineup.

He's super young and a big body, I wouldn't read too, too much into it. He has that ability to shoot that you like from a guy like that, plus Ive seen a willingness to go to the middle.

Anybody know his measurements in d-1 and d-2 ?

Also gotta feel for Dobes lol, that defense was bad all game

Anyone good gonna be available at 32?
Maybe DRAGICEVIC(dd) or HRABAL(g)

I'm really looking for the following in this draft:

Our 1st - has to be the most elite offensive talent available. Most likely going to be a center.
FLA 1st - We need to find a LHS sniper.
Other 1st (Hughes wants another one) - Best available RHD.
Habs 2nd - Jacob Fowler or Hrabal. Heir apparent in net.
Yup elite center, elite rhd and elite G

Top 10, according to Craig Button.

1. Connor Bedard (C) - Regina (WHL)
2. Matvei Michkov (RW) - Morozova (MHL)
3. Adam Fantilli (C) - Chicago (USHL)
4. Calum Ritchie (C) - Oshawa (OHL)
5. Dalibor Dvorsky (C) - AIK (J20 Nationell)
6. Brayden Yager (C) - Moose Jaw (WHL)
7. Zach Benson (LW) - Winnipeg (WHL)
8. Leo Carlsson (C) - Orebro (SHL)
9. Charlie Stramel (RW) - US NTDP
10. Theo Lindstein (D) - Byrnas (J20 Nationell)

Bedard, Fantilli, Ritchie, Dvorsky, Carlsson - get into bottom 5 and take one.
I am no fan of Button, but can you imagine Bedard, Suzuki, Dach, Beck down the middle for next 15 years?

Could be a target mid first depending on where Florida's pick is.

Yeah, definitely. He's got great hands. Left-shot goal scorer, decent size, good speed & plays an honest defensive game. Pks too.

I liked him last year. I really like him this year. He could get to 50 goals in his draft year. Scored 30 last year.

We have more of a need at forward. But I still say BPA. Guhle and Caufield are prime examples. There were other positions we could have used more help at. But talent is talent.
I’m all for BPA…forward or defense but I’m just dreaming of that pair if that’s what it came to be. I’d be happy with any of the top bois…Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson especially

You guys want a goaltending prospect?

Carson Bjarnason, of Brandon Wheatkings. Kid's a beauty. Tall, graceful, and athletic. Moves really well.

8gp: 2.16 gaa / .942 save %

He's likely getting a shutout tonight against Kelowna. Only 10 minutes left in game & Brandon is leading 3-0, but I'm not watching last 10.

He was a stonewall tonight. Always in good position, calm & focused. He gave Kelowna nothing to shoot at.

Would rather get an elite forward in the 5-10 range vs. Allen.

I'm pretty convinced we're going forward. The forwards are just a lot better than the dmen available.

Dmen that I'm interested in so far are Sandin-Pelikka and Price.

Nylanders 20 in 21 then you have to go to Naslund in 92.

Nylander put up 20 in 21 in his post draft season.

No I don't, but thank you for offering.

Yeah but they were the same age according to EP, otherwise if you consider draft year I think he's having the best PPG ever.

Of course thats just stats watching though, I don't recall how good Foppa looked in the SHL and Im not gonna compare the two, lol.

Love the kid Bjarnason already, looks smooth.

Ya ill take a flyer after the 50th pick

If he plays like this all season he's going 1st round.

Agree. There’s not enough young firepower up front, yet.

I’m in the Allen Camp (if Habs pick beyond top 5), but Carlsson looks like a play-generator Habs need. Bedard is as well, but can’t invest too much hope there.

I know you like Leo, and I totally get it.

It’s early, but the standings are already slightly annoying. I’m trying to disregard them, but have a feeling the Blue Jackets might join the tank party unintentionally, and there’s already a too-long list of suspect teams for this season.

The season is too long and maybe the draft too deep to sweat over early positioning, but concern is creeping in.

This draft is similar to 2015 (McDavid draft), or really epic ones like 2003 & 1979, so not surprised more teams are tanking.

West will be top heavy, with Arizona, Chicago, San Jose & Anaheim all being complete crap.

Vancouver & Seattle will be mediocre at best. Only reason for optimism is they have to play each other.

That's 6 teams. Are we going to be better than all 6?

Good question. I think it’s possible.

What we really don’t need is a team like C-bus falling flat.
