A future pairing of Mailloux Guhle would be so awesome. He just needs to stay healthy with that shoulder.

If we pick between 5-10 I’d love to get Cam Allen from Guelph. Physical, good skater and good shot.

Our Defense would look so stacked with Guhle, Mailloux, Allen as the top 3
Would rather get an elite forward in the 5-10 range vs. Allen.

We have more of a need at forward. But I still say BPA. Guhle and Caufield are prime examples. There were other positions we could have used more help at. But talent is talent.

Yeah, what I am saying is also a reflection of BPA.

1. Bedard
2. Carlsson
3. Fantilli
4. Michkov
5. Yager
6. Dvorsky
7. Sale
8. Ritchie

Once you get to 9/10 then Allen enters the convo with Benson.

I'm really looking for the following in this draft:

Our 1st - has to be the most elite offensive talent available. Most likely going to be a center.
FLA 1st - We need to find a LHS sniper.
Other 1st (Hughes wants another one) - Best available RHD.
Habs 2nd - Jacob Fowler or Hrabal. Heir apparent in net.
MTL should aim for a winger with our first pick not a center.
FLA pick should be a RHD not a sniper.

It looks like Michkov is out for a 3rd consecutive game. Don't know if he's injured. Last game he played was October 7 and he scored a PP goal.

He's only played 5 games this year: 1 KHL & 4 VHL (4g, 1a). His team is on game #15, so he's missed quite a few games already.

Any chance Michkov drops out of the TOP 5 because of the russian factor? Caufield and Michkov at RW would be pretty sweet.

Let's face it guys we aren't going to finish in the bottom 5. This team is too stacked. Here is what I hope for....

1OA - Bedard to Montreal (via Florida)
9OA - Cameron Allen (Mtl)

We're not getting any of these studs sadly. Team overperforming when it shouldn't, yet again.
Habs aren't overperforming, other teams are underperforming after 2-5 games at the start of the season.

Tampa Bay is dead last in the division.
Minnesota is doing worst than Arizona and Chicago.
Lets not talk about Columbus, San Jose and Vancouver.

MTL should aim for a winger with our first pick not a center.
FLA pick should be a RHD not a sniper.
Like 7 out of the top 10 play Center, they might not play C in the NHL, we shouldn’t pass on the best player for position with our first pick, it a lot easier to move a C to the wing anyway…
With the 2nd and 3rd(hoping) 1st rd pick which should be past 17th, than we could definitely go for need RD and G if the player are all in a similar tier.

MTL should aim for a winger with our first pick not a center.
FLA pick should be a RHD not a sniper.

You're gonna reach on Sale or Benson? It's gotta be BPA and that's likely a center. Not like any of them couldn't move to wing if needed.

And I think another sniper is more important than the D. If you haven't noticed we don't have a lot of definitive pro snipers in the prospect pool. We have plenty of D with experience plating right side.

And Gabriel D’aigle in 2025 ! After that our core would be stack for the next 10 years

Even RDS are starting to talk about him !

Let's hope you're right. One can only trust a process if it is followed through properly. Doing so involved a top 5 pick for mtl.

For those who watch both Carlsson and Barkov at the same age, who was the best player at that part of their career ?
Honestly Im inclined to say Leo. He is more dynamic and uses up his skills a lot more.

Mainly because Barkov was so slow lol, I remember he used to take like 3 strides and then glide while dangling around everyone. Barkovs game was very "pro" ready though. He had the cycle, touch and go, open-ice shooting, simple playmaking down to a tee, thats why he dominated Liiga so much.

Realistically probably Barkov but its good to dream, lol.

I mean just him being in the discussion to be as good as Barkov (He's a top 5 C in the NHL my eyes) show how good he can become. Men do we NEED to be bad this year !

I wonder, if the FLA pick wins the 10A lottery, does it count as one of the "max 3 improvements in 5 years"? And for MTL or FLA? :sarcasm:
Wouldn't matter anyways because we'd win 10 SCs in a row
