How often have we seen a 15 yo goaltender in the Q? Let alone doing great?
They where training together during the pass summerMarc-Andre Fleury started in Q at 15. He's a late November birthday, so it was like 2 months; however both Fleury & D'aigle are from Sorel, so there's only 3 goalies in the last 25 years (Fleury, Fucale & D'aigle) to start at 15 years old, but 2 of them are from Sorel. Maybe he's a Fleury fan.

Not a good night for the tank, but if it’s Caufield, Suzuki, Dach, Guhle and (hopefully) Slafkovsky carrying us out of the top 5, then so be it.
Dalibor Dvorsky's turn.
Don't worry, Chicago won there last game and Arizona just won against Toronto yesterdayNot a good night for the tank, but if it’s Caufield, Suzuki, Dach, Guhle and (hopefully) Slafkovsky carrying us out of the top 5, then so be it.
There's a good chance Dvorsky will be available at 5... where the Habs may be picking.Carlsson vs. Dvorsky might be the big debate this year. Thing is, it will be a hard debate to have as Dvorsky is fairly younger than Carlsson so their curves are not starting from the same point, Carlsson is proportionally ahead of Dvorsky right now. That being said, if Dvorsky reaches his potential I think he's the player we need more than Carlsson, he's a grinder, he goes in traffic, and he's massively different than Suzuki. Carlsson is also different than Suzuki, he's more high-end but I'm afraid they share a similar approach to the game that might be less constructive than having a grinding, goalscoring center.

I'm still pretty sure we end up bottom 3. Maybe lose a spot because of lottery.A bit early to make predictions of where we'll be, but yes I think you are right we'll be more 5-10 than 1-4.
Hard to say with the level of talent in that draft, but he's having a really great start. I would probably say top 20 but he could be there at 20-25.Where do you guys see Gauthier being selected?? Late tens?? Late 1st? Also, who is his comparable?
thx
How do you compare him with Poulin? Not the same IQ IMO but theyre somewhat close.Hard to say with the level of talent in that draft, but he's having a really great start. I would probably say top 20 but he could be there at 20-25.
For the comparable, I'm not really good with that but I would say Dustin Brown. Type of player that can compliment a duo in a top 6 that can:
- Finish play
- Go in front of the net and in dirty area
- F1 in forecheck
- He plays a physical game
Gauthier is a better skater and plays at higher pace I think and Poulin is bigger, stronger and had a better shot. How do you compare him with Poulin? Not the same IQ IMO but theyre somewhat close.
I really liked Poulin too (Still do). Gauthier seems like a guy that plays at a high pace in junior and it lets him exploit juniors and Poulin exploited juniors with his IQ and the time he created with his size/strength.Gauthier is a better skater and plays at higher pace I think and Poulin is bigger, stronger and had a better shot.
At the start of the season, I would probably have said that Poulin was better (I really like Poulin in his draft year) but Gauthier seem to have taken his game at an other level and he does look better than Poulin.

Its tough to weed out the opportunists and the real deals.
if we don't get a Top 5 then we will be a average team again for many fuccking years. Not a good night for the tank, but if it’s Caufield, Suzuki, Dach, Guhle and (hopefully) Slafkovsky carrying us out of the top 5, then so be it.
