Matthew Wood 1+1 so far today, scored on a nice one-timer on the PP, Dobes couldnt do anything. Wood is now 1PPG so far in the NCAA, one of the youngest players in the league, 6"3 190 lbs already.

Did he improve his skating since U18s? It looked Stone quality, which isn't terrible, but definitely needs upgrading. Interesting player.

Well I think Arizona and Chicago will have #1-2 locked up so one of them may choose to snag him at #2
You never know with the lottery, but one thing that might favor the Habs on Chicago and Arizona in their tanking is the conference, the bottom teams are worst in the West than in the East, only Philly on paper looks real bad while you have like 4-5 teams in the West that are rebuilding, so those teams will face each other more often and share points. I also think the East in general is stronger.

That's a good point. I just did the math and figured Arizona, Chicago, Seattle and Anaheim and San Jose all play each other roughly 3x each. That's 60 points and if you disperse them evenly that's about a 12pt bump for everyone 😀

Anyone got any favourite overagers early?

Brady Stonehouse. Watching the 67s - Guelph game (Rohrer scored a beauty!) scouting Cam Allen (hasn't done shit so far, end of 1st) and Stonehouse is all over the place in awesome ways: defensively, offensively, PP (released Rohrer with a nice pass) & on pk.

I mentioned in the 2022 Draft thread that I thought Stonehouse was a big overlook after draft. It looks ridiculous now. Kids a player.

(Also, Boucher is useless. Nice pick, Sens.)

There Stonehouse goes again, gettin in there, and might have a goal to show for it.

Taking a chance on Arber's brother with a 7th rounder pick, depending on how he does might be worth it.

He just broke into the O this season, but it's still hard to really tell with a lot of players if their development is just stunted a bit, or if they're just not that good.

I would have drafted him before Guindon. I had Stonehouse as a 4th round pick. Guindon as late 4th/5th round pick. Not sure how they made that decision especially considering they were scouting Rohrer in Ottawa.

Or, taken Stonehouse at the Nurmi pick.

He's off to a great start now.

Never understood why he wasn’t draft
