I see a lot of people saying if we pass on this or that and draft Leonard, I'm a lose it. Feels like Brady Tkachuk all over again. I'd be more than fine taking him as of 5 especially if we've decided that Michkov is a no draft

Nobody can answer that at this point, I like Dvorsky more than Slaf but Slaf is such a unique player who will likely have a unique development curve....too hard to call. Put a gun to my head and I take Dvorsky and then **** my pants waiting for the answer.
I’m warning up to Dvorsky. Kid can absolutely rip it. I personally think he’s more a winger.

I’d still take slaf over him. Slaf is more raw and has that swagger. And I know some have almost become allergic to size on these boards but him being absolutely massive just gives him a whole other possible dimension that few players have. He could’ve been 2 inches shorter and 30 lbs lighter and he’d still be considered big.

I agree, Leonard is the best of the rest outside of the top 5.

One positive thing about Dvorsky. He has probably the coolest name I've ever heard from a hockey player. Makes me want to change my 2 year old Canadian daughter's name to Dalibor.
Dalibor is a pretty bad ass name not gonna lie.

Hopefully I don't get a bunch of quotes from draft purists as I'm not advocating size over skills but the Habs need a mix if prospects in their pool, so they better grab a few more forwards with size.

Yeah definitely not at the expense of skill but no one will ever convince me size isn’t a plus. It’s almost like there’s this weird reactionary thing going on here where it seems like being big is a knock against a player lol.

I prioritize size now a lot I find. More than I used to. Come playoff time it’s a factor

Yeah exactly.

Obviously don't take Wood over Bedard because Bedard is 5'10. Or Fantilli over Bedard because of size, but if you're sitting there going "I like these 2 players with our next pick" and those players are 6'2 and 5'9...

The reaction is against size as a priority at the top of the draft (1st round). Because size is much easier to get than talent in trades.

Build team through the draft with talent, like Tampa, Colorado, and even Toronto. Size can be added later. That's what all these teams did.

I'm trying to think of a good comp for Ryan Leonard, and honestly I think Mike Richards is a good one. Both about the same size, both tough, in your face leader types with nice skills. They can play in all situations. Prime Mike Richards was a hell of a player.

Last year we took the Slovakian Ogre and Goblin so it only makes sense that we get the Orc this year to complete the trifecta

Does Leonard play with Tkachuk's edge? Few do.
Yep he is a small skilled PF, plays with an edge, great motor and strong competitor all over the ice. only worry for me is if he will be able to play the same type of game at the NHL level and avoid injuries, kid is tough on his body.

A stat like this is beyond irrelevant with how much the team you're on plays a MASSIVE relevance to it.
Having said that, he had a great last game
