Call me when he does it against their men’s team like Slaf Daddy. Not just lighting up little German kids.Dvorsky with a hatty against Germany.
I'm still trying to comprehend Benson and Carlsson at 7 and 8 with Smith not even there it's like he went out of his way to make as terrible a list as possibleWhoa - Stramel was considered top 10 at one point?
Top 10 to think 'Potato' was a color maybe.
After this game he is going 2nd overall...Behind ASP
Only really watched him at WJC and his decision making was so bad imo.Yeah Stramel is a tough one for me.
He was considered far and away the best 2023 US prospect last summer, then he goes to Wisconsin (which we know is a low scoring, tough program for a Freshman), the other USA guys stayed in the USDP except for Brindley (also very well regarded last summer), who then got a much more favorable slot in the Michigan lineup with Fantilli.
Stramel has definitely shown weakness this year, IQ and skating, but I doubt he is as bad as everyone here thinks. Still don't think we will be in a position to take him unless he falls to our 2nd, then I would be game depending on who else falls.
It is important to remember that when Hughes was coaching Smith, Stramel and other guys were seen as far better prospects than Smith, but we really don't know what their personal relationship was like.

Just watched a breakdown/highlights video on Smith and I wouldn't be mad at that.
Reinbacher, Smith, Michkov, Benson. Should be solid.
Who would you rather draft?Ready to roll out my new draft list

Somehow the Habs will draft 8th.Please don't cuck us lottery..
I think as long as we pick top 6 we should be fine.. I think they'll take Reinbacher ahead of Benson and I'm becoming more pilled that this is the right choice to make.
Watching Tampa sputter without their defenseman.. it's so key to winning in the play-offs.
If Michkov is there at 17 I'll call every single nhl team and submit my resume because clearly there's zero requirements to be a scoutDvorsky at 5, Michkov at 17. Imagine.
If Michkov drops to 17, it won't be because scouts don't think he's good enough to play. It'll mainly be a GM decision on how willing are they to take the risk.If Michkov is there at 17 I'll call every single nhl team and submit my resume because clearly there's zero requirements to be a scout
There's is no risk high enough not to take him at 10 plus it's a fireable offenceIf Michkov drops to 17, it won't be because scouts don't think he's good enough to play. It'll mainly be a GM decision on how willing are they to take the risk.
What if Smith goes 4 and the Habs sit at 4, you take Michkov or Reinbacher ?Things are getting pretty clear to me.
At 1 you take Bedard
at 2 you take Carlsson
at 3 you take Fantilli
at 5 you take Smith
at 6 you take Reinbacher
at 7 you're making a decision on Benson, Leonard, Yager or Dvorsky.

I agree with you, but it's also easy to say since we're not the ones actually making the decision that can impact our franchise for the next 5-10 years. There's is no risk high enough not to take him at 10 plus it's a fireable offence
