I actually find the other D-man Axel Sandin Pellikka more impressive than Reinbacher from a lot of highlight footage, could be wrong but heh.

Reinbacher looks good but like he will be an avg solid dman, nothing really stands out..

The habs can't score and have no high end offensive forward prospects in my opinion. This draft is heavy with highly skilled forwards so I don't like the idea of drafting a potential top 4 defenseman at 5. I want the highest skilled forward at 5. They need a star!!

Habs can’t defend either to be honest. They were one of the worst teams in giving up high dangers scoring chances. Yes some of that has to do with the young defenders, but only Guhle really has Top-4 potential of those rookies. Maybe Harris, but he’s as vanilla as it gets. The prospect reinforcements are Hutson and Mailloux who aren’t much as defenders either. Lots of hope is pinned on Guhle to be top pairing and for Engstrom’s progression to continue skyrocketing.

Absolutely in favour of that. He’s getting underrated because of his high profile teammates. He just does everything well and is incredibly smart.

Only draft Michkov if there are assurances he wants to play in North America and the Russian government will not hinder his opportunity to play in the NHL.

Huge game for Tanner Molendyk recording 2 goals, one of them being an absolute beauty. I know most don’t want another LHD but he does play on the right side and if we are lucky enough to have him fall to the 2nd round he very well could be BPA.

Yeah, he & Sidorov have been freaking amazing tonight. I love Moldendyk. Such a great player. Saskatoon won last 2 games against Red Deer. RD still leads series 3-2. Next game is Sunday in RD.

In the same series projected late 1st to early 2nd rounder Kalan Lind is likely done for the playoffs after receiving a nasty hit and got stretchered off last game. Not so much a target for me as it is difficult to see him have an impactful enough role on a team that warrants taking him as high as he projects. Never the less very gross hit.

Kks the 5th best player in the draft after being mishandled and having his development stunted. Safe to say he was not a reach or overhyped.

Yeah, nasty hit. Don't think Lind gets taken that high anymore. His offense went into the tank second half and he hasn't done much in playoffs. There is skill there, but he disrupts his own game so much by trying to be a shift disturber instead of just playing a hard game.

At 18th OV, my favorites are Stenberg, Brindley, Wahlberg, Edstrom.

Anyone watch Luca Pinelli a lot? I've seen a few games of him and he looks interesting, good late 2nd/3rd round value pick? He looks like the classic high IQ type player with average skating (because he's small) that ends up falling in the draft.

edit: if we end up with Michkov that'll be 1 of the biggest homerun steals in Habs history, he's a legit stud, some players are no brainer picks and he's 1 of them

Tony Marinaro is unfortunately an arrogant buffoon. I appreciate that he keeps people interested in sports in Montreal but he is not informed and his self importance was unbearable to listen to on the radio. There is no certainty that Benson or Smith will be stars. What s important is BPA at a given position, the fact that there are more talented forwards in this draft is irrelevant, you only draft one of them.

I'm impressed by Sidorov, too. Such an energetic, inside driven forward with a great snapshot. Yes, he is an overager. But he was one of the younger players for the 2022 Draft. When would you draft him this year?
