f*** this guy. Tony, not Seb. Tony wasnt really considered, but hes now nor considered a reliable source in the slightest. Dont post anything that f***ing idiot says.

That's because he did say it on his podcast.
Tony's hit or miss. As in sometimes he does hit.

But this is one more knock against him.

Assuming we pick #5 and #17, who do you guys want drafted? My personal preference list below:

5: Smith, Michkov, Reinbacher
17:Honzek, Wood, But, Musty
Same name as you with the 17th pick

but for the 5th i would add Benson instead of Reinbacher. Not interested in a dman but i guess if they think he’s BPA at 6th then okay but i still think they should look at guys like Leonard or Moore before a dman.

I will endorse Pekarcik as a late round Slovak for the Habs

Born September 12th, 2005. The youngest player in this draft, PPG in Slovakia 2nd league, over PPG in Slovak u20, and 30 games with HK Nitra in the main league.

NCAA guys can leave after 1 year if they are good enough, the decision is on the player. Universities have no contractual rights and can't keep players against their will

Felix Unger Sörum who was playing really well for Sweden in their first two games at the U18s, is two days younger than Pekarcic. While Unger Sörum could be an interesting option in the late second round, Pekarcic would be a nice late round flyer.

The players who wowed me today were Eiserman and Sale.

Sale gets slept on cause his club in Czechia is a joke, but in terms of offensive talent, he's one of the most talented 2023s.

Feel bad for Bjarnason, two fluke goals and then you're confidence is rattled and the next two shots you face are point blank with tons of time. See how he bounces back.
If Sale falls beyond 10, we should definitely try to package the FLA pick and trade up to draft him.

Similar skill sets and play styles. Cooley was the alpha dog for that US squad while Moore is more in the backseat so that’s the question. Could he be Cooley like if given the opportunity???
Exactly the opposite happened IMO.

He got worse with better line mates. Since Eiserman and Hagens joined the team/his line at the end of February, his rate of production has dipped a little and his goal scoring has fallen off significantly. It's as if now that he has players he feels the need to pass to, he forces way more plays to them and turns the puck over a ton, rather than just taking it all on himself like he used to.

When he stuck to his simple north/south two-way game and attacked at full speed he was much more consistent and effective, if limited. I think he's a guy who both needs the puck on his stick to be successful offensively, but who also doesn't really do a good job of involving his line mates in those plays. Eiserman/Hagens just kind of did their thing without him and vice/versa.

Andrew Cristall has tremendous amounts of skill.

Should we maybe take him at 5-7?

I won't make any friends here, but I don't want him before late 1st, early 2nd... Where he won't be available anyways probably.

No hustle, no effort, always slowing the play down/curling on entries. Great hands, nice vision... a nice talent overall, but I don't think it translates in the NHL. There are so many great options for our 1st round picks. I don't see a world where I want to pick him over other options with either.

Add to that he's small and pretty slow...

Basically the equivalent of DND for me.

The dream scenario would be moving up in the lottery and then having one of the guys you mentioned fall to 17.
Or we trade up from 17 to get a guy we have our eye on. Gorton is all about moving up to get the right guy, as he did with K'Andre Miller and Braden Schneider.

Edit: not that the Florida pick is by any means assured of being 17.

Wait, are you saying @26Mats is saying that Marinaro is saying that Bobrov is saying that Michkov is the Russian Bedard????

This Bobrov/Michkov connection is giving me a raging hardon I can’t lie
Only draft Michkov if there are assurances he wants to play in North America and the Russian government will not hinder his opportunity to play in the NHL.

5: Michkov, Benson, Smith, Reinbacher, Leonard, Yager

17: Honzek, ASP, Wood, But, Cristall
you have 11 names listed there. Add the first 3 picks to that list (Bedard, Fantilli, and Carlesson) and that makes 14.

Just need to add 3 more names to the #17 list and it's for sure one name in your list will be available at each spot. Oliver Moore is one name. So two more.

Riley Heidt and Dalibor Dvorsky.

Isnt he the next Patrick Kane? Better prospect than Slafkovsky...
