About Moore's production...

He has good, not great numbers, but he plays with less skillful players than Smith who's 2 wingers are going to be first round picks in this year's draft.

Also, I think his game translates the best of all the top tier USNDP players to the NHL and I watched an interview with him (I found it on you tube somewhere) I was immediately impressed with his maturity... I think he's got "it".... He's definitely on my underrated list.

Moore has pretty poor numbers in the USHL though. What DC o scouts have to say about that?

I see everywhere that he's been rising due to his size and speed. But what about those offensive numbers?
He’s kind of playing 2nd fiddle. Kind of like how Zegras numbers were behind Turcottes because Turcotte was the guy who got more favourable utilization behind Hughes and CC.

The big line for the US is Leonard-Smith-Perrault.

Moore is a guy who you look at the traits and you like what you see. He’s an elite skater with hands and vision to match. Decent size and shot too.

Is it in this podcast that he says Bobrov likes Michkov?

If so what’s the timeline of him talking about this? Because i don’t want to listen to the whole hour lol.

Who cares what this guy thinks as he has no inside information. He is almost certainly basing 100% of his opinion on Bobrov being Russian and nothing else.

All the US kids interview really well.

Moore played with Nelson, Hagens and Eiserman, talent wise, thats just as good, if not better than the first line.

Moore is fast, like all-time fast, but sometimes I just dont see his hands and his brain processing fast enough. He has a lot of Josh Anderson moments where he has a head full of steam and he just bobbles the puck and nothing happens.

Wait, are you saying @26Mats is saying that Marinaro is saying that Bobrov is saying that Michkov is the Russian Bedard????
You just said that 26mats said Marinara was saying that Bobrov thinks Bedard is the canadian Michkov

Tony's podcast.

46:50 fast forward to. That's when he talks about the draft.

If you don't want to listen.

If the Habs gain some spots they'll take Michkov. He quotes Portzline as stating that Nick Bobrov that he's so high on Michkov he calls him the Russian Bedard.

I listened to that podcast, unless it's another one, but he doesn't say that.

I don't get why Marniaro says "if the Habs gain a few spots" if they it's 1st, or 2nd and I doubt Michkov is there for ANYONE

He has good numbers. The main argument FOR Moore is that he don't have quality linemates and that his production took off once he played with Eiserman (top 2024 prospects.). Unlike Smith who plays with Leonard and Perreault, they are all three quality prospects.

I would be okay with Moore at 5 because he displayed elite offensive tools. He can snipe it and his skating is just insane. He could become quite a player honestly the potential is insane. The numbers dont tell the whole story in his case.

Did you really just say Marinaro said Portzline said Bobrov said Michkov was the Russian Bedard? Slam Dunk pick then.
Yes I really said that. Notice what I didn't say is that it was a slam dunk pick. That is what you said.

I merely stateted a fact, albeit what someone said someone else said that someone else said about someone else being similar to someone else.

My comparison is Dylan Larkin aswell and I believe that he can reach that type of impact. I'm a big fan of Smith, Leonard and Moore... they are all 3 very very good players. Habs are in very very good spot to grab a great young player... between, Smith, Benson, Leonard, Moore, Yager, Dvorsky and Reinbacher... they can't go wrong with any of them... they are all have qualities to become really good NHL players.
Your list has more than tripled from a week ago! 😮

How does Moore compare to Cooley to you guys who watch USNDTP

Not really at all outside of their skating and pushing of the pace, though Moore is a faster skater.

Moore is pretty north-south, responsible in his own end, he doesn't have Cooley's hands or creativity.

Moore is more like Larkin.

The dream scenario would be moving up in the lottery and then having one of the guys you mentioned fall to 17.

Could you imagine if Columbus took Smith and somehow Carlsson falls to us? Or the Bobrov thing is true and we actually take Michkov? Would be unbelievably awesome!

Not the same player. Moore has elite skating but doesnt score high anywhere else. Much more well-rounded, jack of all, master of none. Insane athlete, strong, fast, explosive but Cooley actually has faster execution speed because his hands, vision and proprioception are all top flight.

Cooley is a dog, hes a killer, hes a problem. He has two (three) weakness, his size, his shot and hes kinda soft and a perimeter player at times.

The quality teammates argument is just wrong though. Eiserman and Hagens are top 3 talents and Nelson is going 2nd round just like Perrault.

Wait…
Is this board saying that someone was saying that a podcast from Columbus was saying that a podcast from Montreal was saying that he heard a scout was saying that our head scout was saying that Michkov is the Russian McDavid?
The way I heard it was that there was a billboard in Columbus that quoted Sergei Bobrovsky saying that Michkov was the Belarusian Bryan Berard.

Didn't deny CBJ's interest in Will Smith..

So if we want Smith, we'll need to CBJ to be a lotto winner.
If CBJ takes Smith and that means Michkov falls into our laps that is great news.

Is it great news if the Habs organization isn't taking any Russians?

Portzline just denied he ever wrote or said anything to that effect - so the evidence shifts back to the Habs being unwilling to take Russians in Russia.

If the Habs aren't taking Michkov under any circumstances, we'd want a team in front of us to take him, otherwise one of the players we liked and were willing to pick just got picked and you're one player deeper into your list.
