Really ? He does not crack top 20 for Euro players for me. so if you tell me the NA crop is really really bad after 15 maybe you are right but if it s a normal draft, I don t see it.

Reinbacher is highend offensive talent.

Is Reinbacher a high end offensive talent?? he is poised, move the puck efficiently, skate well and has a good shot which get him pts which should all translate but he just doesn’t create I don’t see elite 1 pairing D or pts produced. he has very high floor and probably a good top4 but lot of people keep bringing up Seider and I don’t see it… Seider had better hands and the progression was a lot more noticeable.

I can't see which team would trade a young stud for the 5th OA that would be worthwhile for us. Maybe Keller requests a trade but he would cost way more than the 5th OA.

I can't think of a young player in the league, that would be available, to move a 5th OA for.

Rienbacher seems to have all the tools to become a right handed #1 dman, that is a huge need for this team. He is my pick if we stay at 5.

I can't think of a young player in the league, that would be available, to move a 5th OA for.

The issue is that CHI was cleaning house but in most cases the same teams want young players and high draft picks to get young top players so that a deal is unlikely.

The pros: Possibly the best on ice vision in the draft, great hands, playmaking, offensive creativity.

The cons: Physically pretty weak, not a great skater, a bit slow footed, soft on pucks, low motor, defensively flawed and some positional cheating in his game. For me he is a 3-4 yrs project, will need to hit the gym and round up his 200 ft. game. Has a similar frame to Jake Evans at the same age.

Drouin was pure skill too in junior. And he said all the right things in interview also, still to this day.

Sometimes pure skills isn’t the right choice. In later rounds? No problem with the gamble about a player with mad skill and questionable work ethic/ clueless when we doesnt have the puck. Like we did with Roy. But in top 5 or top6? No way.

Leonard > Smith all the way for me.

Moore > Leonard > Smith

I agree with Benson at 5 or 6. He is my first choice.

But let's say Reinbacher is still on board comes 11-12 OA, do you think 17OA + 37OA get us there?

Most of the draft picks value chart are saying 17 + 37 should get us in the range of 11-12. Some say 10, others about 13.

Unless there is a big drop in tiers happening between 11 and 17, i think it's not that far fetched.

The first thing you do on draft day, is try to sell your two picks for a top 4 pick.

#5+#17+ a significant add for Bedard. (Slaf, Dach, Mesar, Roy, Kidney, Hutson are all options I would entertain to get Bedard.)

5+17+Mesar for Fantilli
5+17+Mesar for Carlsson
5+Mesar for Michkov

The habs need quality, over quantity.

Then if that doesn't work, maybe you look at trading down that 5th OA, if you don't like Benson. (I would pick him.)

5th OA+ 17th for 6th and 12th ? I'd do this any day. Reinbacher + Cristall > Benson + Wtv is up at 17 IMO

5th for 9th and 18th ? Detroit would absolutely want a shot at Benson IMO. Now that one is iffy because I don't like missing on Benson and Reinbacher here, but having three picks from 9 to 18 is pretty freaking good, Boston 2015 good. Barzal, Connor, Chabot kind of energy.

Or we just stay put and be happy with Benson or Reinbacher, which is something I really would consider a win too, lol.

I would aim at Pittsburgs #14 pick.
These guy's still have their core players and are not ready to rebuild yet

Anderson (1.5mil retained) + #37 ??

Pittsburgh is going to rebuild, pretty sure. With the new management.

With our 2nd rounder I would be pumped if we could pick up Tanner Molendyk. I watched the whole pats/blades series for obvious reasons and he stood out big time.He is an unbelievable skater and logs huge minutes for the Blades every night. Most rankings project him to be mid to late 2nd but I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes much earlier.

Probably Brett Kulak type. Doubt hands are offensive enough to reach top 4

My thoughts exactly: some love for Wood, Reinbacher still lags behind the euro forward options

Leonard isn't so much a surprise to me, he's solidifying that hight draft spot
