Don't throw rocks at me, but I think Michkov is slightly better than Bedard. Michkov bring elite tools just as Bedard. But with Michkov, you add the insane hockey IQ on top of that.

Don't get me wrong, Bedard has a really good hockey IQ. He will go first overall with all the external factors.
But as we speak right now, I really think Michkov's brain is a notch superior.

The composite sticks of the past 10 years are net new, they have increased bend resistance tremendously vs. the 2010 versions - Bedard is just the first of many on this - but Bedard's generation are the firsts who got these sticks early enough to invent stuff.

I do wonder if Bedard's shot is sustainable physically.

Bedards in stride release is insane. Has anyone ever seen something like it? Hes so good at using whip and hip-drive to explode into the shot.

Bure could really shoot it in motion, definitely one of the best I've seen do it. Peter Bondra too, he'd be up there.

Honestly I'm expecting Hugo to make a big trade for one in 1-2 years. D take longer to develop so getting an 18 year old in the next year or two won't really help like a no.1 D should when the Habs are ready to be competitive. HuGo just needs to move out contracts this year. Draft in the top 5. Eventually get Dubois for nickels on the dollar/wait for FA, trade for a no.1 D, and then continue to develop the future core. It's honestly more of a waiting game than anything besides getting that no. 1 D
