I would try to sign Perets. I don't think the goalie crop is anything to write home about and I would probably take a shot with Dichow/Dobes/Perets over any of the available goalies. I'm hoping for Brzustewicz in the second if nobody of significance drops.
The goalie crop is really good an full of talented individuals. You just dont have to spend a first or high 2nd to get them.

Perets is definitely not anything to write home about.
Yes but i'd rather roll the dice on a free agent than waste an early pick on Hrable, Bjarnason or Augustine.

If one of them is available in the 4th i wouldn't mind using one of the picks we have there to take a flier.

Sure if we're talking about using the 4th rounders to grab one of the top guys or to use a 6th or 7th on Ratzlaff or Dybal then sure. But I wouldn't consider using a pick in the top 3 rounds.

If Danill But is available with our second pick ,, do you take him ?

No and they likely wouldn't either

Definitely sign a free agent that has shown he doesn't have #1 goalie upside deep in his development over drafting goalies with actual #1 upside.

Augustine I agree since he's not really a good goalie prospect. But Fowler Bjarnason or Hrabal would give us the first goalie in our pipeline since Price with demonstrative #1 upside on draft day.

Looks like we will pick 6th or 7th. Have a feeling they go defenceman. Reinbacher is getting a lot of hype. Like him but would be disappointing if they pass on Smith/Benson for him. Really hope the intent is to get the highest talent available and not about need.

Reinbacher isn't really a need though, he's just f***ing great.

Good news then I’m talking in the 2nd round and Bjarnarsson is 100 % worth it for me. He got all the tools I’m looking for in a #1 goalie. Not sure he’s gonna be a top 5 goalie in the league but I definitely see a top 10
Bjarnarsson...did not impress during the prospects game. He seemed very ordinary.
I realize it was just a game, but you would think he would have brought his "A" game considering the number NHL scouts that were at the game.

I'd take Carlsson with ease but I'm resigned to the fact I'm alone in that.. just like I was one of very few who would have taken Cooley at 1.
I would be a fan of this as well. However if Fantilli was the pick, that would be fine too. Especially since Fantilli or Carlsson is still much better than anyone we will grab if we don't win a lottery pick.

I dont know much about Fowler. Bjarnason is young so he has time to put everything together, but he doesn't stand out to me. Hrabal has all the tools to be a starter, but I find his stance a bit too rigid and he tends to play deep in his crease. He might be able to change that habit over time, but when he plays high end talent he can be exposed.

I still wouldn't use a late first or an early 2nd on a goalie this draft. But I guess that's just me.

Its important that they identify their guy and make sure they get him. If they don't feel that way about this group, then they don't and shouldn't. But I definitely think any of these 3 are excellent gambles.

There's no one else coming other than Daigle and he's gonna be so young with so much development ahead of him that it won't make much sense to wait that long.

We are in a goaltending talent vacancy, so teams who have heir apparents aren't moving them. We need to identify and procure.

Nvm Michkov. We’ll be drafting 8th+ cause this stupid team has to win meaningless games and screw us out of a top 5 pick
