Yeah it didn’t look good at all and his facial expression wasn’t good either. Let’s hope he can get back soon. I’d love to see a good honest competition in the top five and possibly for number one. It makes it more fun.
As the director of a sports body that trains, selects and fields high level teenaged athletes at provincial, national and international competitions, I cringe when I see any athlete injured. It’s the bane of my position. Let us hope his injury is not severe.

Looks like KHL team vs team Russia u20? Kinda weird like having NHL team plays exhibition vs team USA and team Canada

Emelin just deleted Michkov out of the top5

If he comes back in 2 months and tears up the rest of the year this is just a blip

Rather than fantasize about another midget up front, how about adding a stud RD? What are the general impressions here of Cameron Allen? He seems to have it all other than elite size. Would be a perfect complement to a Guhle on a potential top pair.

Any other Ds you guys think can crack that 6-12 range that would be good adds?

I like Allen but he's also missing high end creativity to his game. He's right now the clear best defenseman the only other challenger I see off the hop is Lindstein but he's lacking dynamic elements to his game as well.

Also the projected top 6 right now has literally one "midget" in it and that's Caufield. Suzuki isn't small and is thick. Slafkovsky was added. Dach was added. Anderson is likely sticking around.

If you're arguing Allen over Benson? Sure, I can see that. But Yager isn't small. Carlsson isn't small. Dvorsky isn't small. Fantilli isn't small.

Fact is we still need another star talent up front and there's more than enough with size to go with that talent. I wouldn't reach on Allen.

I think we will be picking in the mid lottery myself, like 7-10 range so some of those names won’t be there regardless. I’m not suggesting reaching on Allen, but I think that’s his range at the moment right now. I also think we have Hutson who can be that elite creativity guy so don’t need Allen to be that, just need him to be an all around stud.

I also think we are fairly set up front. Caufield, Slafkovsky, Suzuki, and Dach is a pretty excellent big 4 core to build around. Plus you have some high end secondary guys like Mesar, Farrell, and Roy, vets like Gallagher and Anderson who are likely sticking around, good young depth pieces in guys like Heineman and Evans, and oh ya, potentially Dubois in free agency as well.

A stud RD like Allen would be beautiful.

Guhle-Allen
Hutson-Mailloux
Harris-Barron

Just really like the look of that.

It all depends on the range. I don't think we are in 7-10. The only way that happens is if we get jumped 2x from behind in the lottery and then we'd be at 7. Which is reasonable for Allen but I don't think I could justify taking Allen over Carlsson or Dvorsky there, unless Dach just had a 60ish pt season.

I think Dach will for one. And I think that will only mean we are fairly solidified up front and picking a bit later. Allen seems to be creeping up boards at the moment so I think he very well could end up a guy we hope falls to us as opposed to a reach.

You see Dach hitting 60 with the likes of Drouin, Anderson etc?? Then he'd be a ppg on most teams. If he gets 40 I'd be super happy

I think you haven't seen much of a Guyayev, amirite?

also, if dach has a 60 pt season with suzuki, I think we would probably finish more in the 5-10 range than bottom 5. Would be a nice problem to have since it means we are pretty set in terms of C depth.

Good ol Grant & Goldenhands will milk the shit out of being right about Slaf

Haters can read the hockey news

I'm sure Dalibor & Allen will be scouted heavily by the Habs. Assuming we are not among the 3 worst team...

I think its early to call Bedard a winger. Still has 1 full draft year to improve his all around game and still could grow a bit.

Florida will be a top 5 team in the NHL again next year. All you expecting a top 10 pick 😂
OMG….you haven’t been following the offseason have you lol

Top 5

In fairness, it seemed like a clean hit that could have been much worse. Just the fall was very awkward. Too bad to see.
Emelin has always hit clean….a true ARtist!!

I wonder where Stancl is expected to go, big dude with skills. Really liked his play yesterday from what I've watched

Honestly, I think he was projected as a mid rounder. His stats haven't really been that good.

But you're right, I put him on my list after watching him yesterday. He's got a good frame, the skating was certainly not a detriment and he's finished with some great shots and he flashes some really silky hands.
