Dvorsky emerging as a top talent for 2023 draft
Bedard and Michkov, be ware.

Falls to third from where? There is no consensus on a #1 pick for this draft. Also, Michkov is having a good tournament this week as well.If Dvorsky and Bedard both keep up their current hype, is there a chance Michkov falls to 3rd because of his contract? That would be interesting
I don’t think so, Dvorsky is great but Michkov is next level scorer and I would have a hard time seeing teams pass on him. However, Dvorsky has probably established himself amongst scouts at this tournament as a potential lottery pick in 2023. Let’s hope his development continues, Slovak hockey desperately needs a 1CIf Dvorsky and Bedard both keep up their current hype, is there a chance Michkov falls to 3rd because of his contract? But with Dvorsky there won't be a 3-year waiting period for a player to come over. That may move the needle in Dvorsky's favour.I don’t think so, Dvorsky is great but Michkov is next level scorer and I would have a hard time seeing teams pass on him. However, Dvorsky has probably established himself as the second best Centre in the class.

Something to remember, too, about Michkov's ELC is that it will still be a three-year deal, so a team keeps that cost certainty for a much older player. Had he decided to stay one more year in Russia, he could have had a two-year ELC.The only way Michkov doesn't go 2 is if a team thinks someone like Dvorsky can step into the NHL and make an impact in the those 3 years Michkov will be in Russia. At the end of the day, he'll be entering the NHL as he enters his prime...on an ELC.

It will be savvy of him to stay one more year in Russia then.Something to remember, too, about Michkov's ELC is that it will still be a three-year deal, so a team keeps that cost certainty for a much older player. Had he decided to stay one more year in Russia, he could have had a two-year ELC.
He might still do that, especially if he can earn more in Russia in that extra year than he can in the NHL on a rookie contract. It will be savvy of him to stay one more year in Russia then.
The first national team from Sweden and the 2005-group. Interesting of course. This group is strong and many of the strongest name are there like Westh (Färjestad BK),Stenberg (Frölunda), Stockselius (Djurgården), Nordh (Brynäs) and Lindstein (Brynäs). I do miss Hugo Hedvall (Leksand), Kristian Kostadinski (Frölunda) Viggo Aspling (Leksand), Gustaf Kangas (Västerås), Elliot Ståhlberg (Färjestad BK), Gustav Ling (Färjestad BK), Anton Nilsson-Andrén (Örebro HC), Hugo Lejon (Västerås) and goalies Noah Erliden (HV71) and Marcus Gidlöf (Leksand). But thats me, and I have the luck that i don´t have to lift anyone off the team.

I agree, 2005 is very strong in Sweden and this is strange list. Eric Bürger is definitely not among Top 7 D in Sweden. We also have better F as Svante Johansson. Where are Erliden, Munther?! In general to many boys from Färjestad BK and Örebro HK.
Is this really a strong age group? That hasn't been my impression.
I started to follow the 2002-group. So before that i don´t know on the same level. And it´s getting easier and easier. Maybe not last season (Covid). Svenskhockey TV is a good tool. And from Uplandia, through Folke Filbyter and Regionscamp, Regioncups, TV-puck, U16 Elit and on i try to se as much as possible. Every year one region stands out. For the 2004-group it was East/Stockholm. And this year (2005) it is Väst. Örebro is interesting. Something right is going on there. Many prospects end up there and develops well for the moment. From my point of view this is the strongest group since the 2002-group. There are more prospects in this group (2005) than any of the earlier I followed. Maybe no superstar like Raymond and Holtz. But plenty of Willam Eklunds. For the record many of these guys outplayed the now number two ranked European prospect Dalibor Dvorsky. So time will tell. They are still very young. Is this really a strong age group? That hasn't been my impression.
Interesting, I am very curious about this talented group from Sweden. When was it when many of them outplayed Dvorsky? 1-2 yeas ago?I started to follow the 2002-group. Yes, after Uplandia and forward through the "visit" in Linköping. Dalibor was of course good. But not on the level he showed during Hlinka. So with that said, coming years will be interesting to follow. How do they train? Do they get the trust in the clubs and from the coaches? How do they handle setbacks? And so on ...Interesting, I am very curious about this talented group from Sweden. When was it when many of them outplayed Dvorsky? 1-2 yeas ago?

Locking 15 year olds into certain draft positions is this site in a nutshell. Anything can happen.
The so called "consensus 1st overall pick" for this years draft ended up going in the 2nd round. I remember starting a shit storm for questioning his game 1.5 years ago.
Wasn't McDavid projected 1st overall since he was a toddler? And what about Crosby?
