not all.....almost all those teams were beaten by Täby on Folke Filbyter last year and they are not competing, not sure why. They would be one of my favourites.

Maybe they are afraid of them
As I hear, 8 or 9 Täby players are in a team for tv-pucken, which is a lot. And that’s without Kopac, who is Slovak and can’t play.

Of course not all of them but many great players have changed to the big teams so it is kind of a different story this year.

Yes, Täby was absolutely the best team in Folke Filbyter. But the other teams have changed roosters a bit and became stronger. You will see Petrini and Munther in DIF as an example. I watched a as I wrote earlier a couple of games from the TV-puck training cups and games. From that i agree with @Hockeylife89 that Frölunda and Färjestad BK will be strong. Växjö maybe. And HV71 that will have the best goalie of the 2005-group playing for them in the DIF Elit Cup - Noah Erliden.

for sure they did, but I think Täby got some new players too and who knows. We will see how they will do on tournament in Almtuna Höstcup this weekend.

A short report from what i saw watching DIF elit cup on TV. Småland will be one of the favourites for the TV-puck. Växjö did a great tournament and have couple of good forwards with Joel Svensson leading them. Also Jacob Sagadin and Sixten Sjöstrand looked strong. After the first game Färjestad - Frölunda (5-2) i was sure that Färjestad would be the absolutely best team. They outplayed Frölunda. But over the three days Växjö was the strongest team. And all together that would put Småland in a good position for the TV-puck.

I heard that Connor Bedar come to Sweden to team Hv71. He is going to play there half year in their j18, so we can compare swedish 05 players that play in j18 elite with him.

Just u-18? That's strange, elite u-20 should be weaker than WHL and he already got exceptional player status for WHL so u-18s would seem way too easy for him.

TV pucken will be very interesting this year. Östergötland had 4 players in the u16 national team last year and came second in the TV pucken. Do they have any players who can stand out this year? and has their team come out yet?

Yes, very interesting year. I have seen quite many games from Uplandia and forward with this group. And other groups before. In my eyes the 2005 year group is quite strong. But for Östergötland i have to disappoint you. They will not be as strong as last year. But last year was an outstanding group for Linköping and Östergötland. But maybe forward Vidar Blixt and defender Lucas Samuelsson can stand out a bit. No team annonunced yet. The TV-puck rooster must be registered tomorrow if I have the right information. So look out for it tomorrow!

Some new names for me. Interesting! Trying to watch as many games as possible in U16 and U18. Big disappointment when Swedish Icehockey federation blew off the TV-puck. It´s nice to watch Dalibor Dvorsky back in Sweden (AIK) U16 and U18) again. But the U18 Regional (east) is not that great. All the other U18 Regional series looks stronger from what i have seen.

Ok, so the TV-pucken play offs is on after all. A little bit strange in my eyes. But if i try to rank the eight teams who will fight for the trophy, this is my ranking. Notice that Stockholm is one team. Not South and North, but they will not be the favourites anyway i belive. I will miss Dalarna as a team and Hugo Hedvall, Otto Stenberg, Lucas Sagranden, Kalle Carlsson as players.

1. Småland
2. Värmland
3. Stockholm
4. Göteborg
5. Gästrikland
6. Ångermanland
7. Västerbotten
8. Östergötland

Very disappointing that we will not be able to see all the players but I am still happy to be able to see some of them. Värmland vs Stockholm in the quarterfinal will be a great game to see. Värmland looks strong this year with great players like Ling and Ståhlberg but still, impressive if they beat Stockholm which is a much bigger district of course. But as you said, Småland is probably my favorites as well. They look strong with Erliden in goal and Joel Svensson and so on.

Did players opt out because of Covid?
No, The Swedish ice hockey federation cancelled the qualification due to Covid. So there are only 8 teams (ranking over the last 10 years) playing. So that´s why i miss some players. Teams like Dalarna (Hugo Hedvall), Bohuslän/Dalsland (Otto Stenberg, Kalle Carlsson, Lucas Sagranden) will not participate. Feels a bit wierd but that´s not my business.

I watched Bedard in hv71 a couple of trainings , he was really relaxed but not as good as his highlights in Canada...

Meh he is just there to get some time on the ice , not as if he's not training with his actual team so wouldn't read much into these trainings.

Just a few days to the TV-pucken play offs. I have tried to watch as many games as possible but it´s been difficult. The platform svenskhockey.tv is not working very well. I still hold Småland as the favourites. With players from Växjö as Filip Karlsson, Joel Svensson, Elis Rix, Rikard Thimgren, Jacob Sagadin and the best goalie Noah Erliden (HV71). But Växjö did not play so well last game when they lost to Karlskrona. The game ended with a big fight! Karlskrona was really good. But will leave them outside of this for the moment. In the quarterfinals the game between Stockholm (Nord) and Värmland is the most exciting one. With a lot of talent on the ice. Take a look at Värmlands defenders. Four, five guys that impressed me a lot. Victor Westh, Noel Fransén, Noel Styrenius looked really good when i watched Färjestad - Brynäs this weekend. And forward Gustav Ling scored the game winning goal on a perfect assist from Noel Styrenius. Take also a look at Elias Ivansson (Färjestad) and Elias Ståhlberg (Färjestad) in Värmland as well. Brynäs and Gästriklands (same team) best defender Theo Lindstein did not play. But Emil Lund, Liam Danielsson, Elias Zimmerman and the goalie Abbe Linderdahl played very well. In Stockholm Lucas Stockselius (Täby) has started the season well and played a strong game in J18 together with Gustaf Kangas (Täby) against Huddinge. Anton Petrini (Djurgården) and Theodor Munther (goalie Djurgården) is also to keep an eye on. In Göteborg Frölunda is the glue in the TV-pucken team. Noah Dower Nilsson is dominating the games i watched and also Dennis Carlsson looks strong. And of course take a look at Ludwig Andersson (also Frölunda). Maybe the best 2005 defender. Isac Hedqvist looks strong in Modo (Ångermanland). Östergötland is not much to say about this year but in Västerbotten Zeb Forsfjäll (Skellefteå) is the guy to look for.

Dower Nilsson is the most promising player in this age group that I have seen.
