I could see management envisioning a lineup of:

Slaf-Suzuki-CC
PLD-Dach-Leonard
Heineman-Beck-Roy
RHP-Evans-X

Not a fan of our defense situation with the lack of firepower up front, but maybe Mailloux and Hutson fix that.

So you think Seattle would trade Wright straight up for the pick that takes Dvorsky?

There are like 10 considerations in your question. If you are talking in terms of value, I think Dvorsky in his prime will be more valuable, but Wright might have better non-prime years. Wright has the toolkit of a guy like Couture who will be good for a long time. But Couture was never one of the elite players. I think Dvorsky can be elite, just don't know how many years it will take or if he will stay there.

There's never enough Tkachuk talk. Never.

Curiously, what's your offensive potential for him ? I know you've been watching him for quite a while.

60 to 90 pts, but it will take some time (Zibanejad style) and there is some risk that's why the big spread. But 70 pts big-time points, important points, against the best players on the other team. He's a bit like Drai at the time of the draft. you know he has a lot of value ahead of him, but you don't know how much of that he'll grab as it depends on the improvements of a few select skills a whole lot (skating more, skating faster).

That wasn’t my question, but keep skirting it knowing I’m right.

Stop being followers. There is no Tkachuk in this draft.

Just draft Michkov and we can have the next Kucherov/Kane type of player. Franchie changing impact winger to our team. Enough said.
Would love that also has zero expectations that we won't pass on him

I LOVE this lineup so much!
Leonard is the type of player that every fans will love, they just don't know yet.

Exactly. There is NO player in this draft that has what Tkachuk had.

People comparing Dvorsky to Tkachuk... Just lol. They are nothing alike.

Michkov is not a Tkachuk, but he's certainly the best player in the draft with Bedard. That is enough for me if he's available.

Dvorsky is a center and much more of a shooter, but Dvorsky can score in tight and has shown that he’ll put his team on his back.

Anyone think Benson can improve his speed significantly like Point ?
His top speed isn’t great, but his edges are so good I’m not too concerned about his skating. His size and weak shot are to me the real issues. If he had size or a rocket shot he’d be a sure fire stud and a top 5 pick, but lacking those two elements makes him much more of a risk. Tough to be small with a weak shot.

Evans needs to be traded...he's been concussed too many times...offensively, he barely moves the needle...production is non-existent.

Dvorsky is much more Tkachuk like than Leonard.
Offensively, I agree. The rest though not really.

Its mostly that Leonard doesnt play like Tkachuk at all, lol.

His top speed is fine and his shot isnt weak, its just not an elite shot. He can place the puck where he wants it and he can still beat a goaltender clean.

He’s got a quick release but he’s not a guy who will beat a goalie from distance with his shot. When you’re smol you kind of need that otherwise defenders will back off of you. I can’t think of many small players who couldn’t beat goalies from distance who were really good- it’s kind of a requirement for a top end small player.

And with you on Leonard. Anyone expecting Tkachuk from him will be very disappointed. He’s more of an all around winger than a Tkachuk. Going back a ways, but Chris Higgins like when Higgins looked like he would be good- that’s my Habs comp for Leonard lol

Yeah he will, hes just not often the one shooting with Savoie, hes the F1, and most often in close.

The perception of Benson really is mind boggling. All it takes is like 5 minutes of watching one of his game to know the kid is probably as special as they come. Hes Cooley if Cooley was an even better playmaker.

I think that’s the wrong clip lol

But willing to adjust my stance if you can show him beating goalies from distance.
