Absolutely no battle today through the lineup. Only Escobar and marte seemed to even show up for at bats. Just completely deflating as a fan.

That wasn't unexpected with Scherzer. They literally shut him down last year in the playoffs because his arm is shot. He old.

deGrom has not been good recently. He has a bad outing tomorrow and it will probably be his last start as a Met. Not because of the start but because his demands are going to be high.

The Mets at time lose discipline at the plate. They need to take pitches and at least make the pitcher work. They cannot stray from that. They've gotten away from that the last month and change.

This is in danger of becoming a 2005-06 Rangers ending for them.

They have some good young position players like Alvarez, Baty, Vientos and perhaps its time to integrate them next year especially at the catcher position where McCaan is useless and Nido is backup quality.

The pitching staff needs to be reworked to not rely so much on old guys. Keep developing Megill and Peterson as cheap backend guys.

The booing of Scherzer was excessive and unnecessary. Dude has been f***ing awesome for you all season long.

I anticipate that it'll be even worse if Degrom gets lit up tomorrow.

Let's Go Mets!

Now we see if this team is the real deal against a tough opponent.

Scherzer with 8 scoreless innings, and then the trumpets sound! LOL

Remember when you guaranteed the Rangers beating the Lightning in the playoffs? Lol shit happens

Scherzer was f***ed from the start when he wasn't getting the borderline strikes. It took two innings and three runs in before he finally got some of those strike calls.

Credit Darvish. He was ace. He was mixing speeds so well that they were guessing the whole time. Only one who he didn't fool was Escobar.

That first inning HR by Bell. Wow. That is some power to send the ball 10 rows in opposite field.

Scherzer's pitches were flat and catching too much plate his last 2 outings.

Felt like Darvish was getting every call while Scherzer was getting squeezed.

Please, I'm still upset over that. Thought for sure we would beat Tampa. And there was sound reasoning behind it. This is totally different. In a 3 game series anything can happen. I said the Padres would be a tough opponent.

How long have you been a Mets fan lol
Long before you were a twinkle in your daddy's eye.

We lost a golden opportunity by not winning one in Atlanta. The odds are now against us. But we are here, and will now have to make the best of it. If we lose, it will be on the shoulders of two pitchers with 5 Cy Young awards.

We're gonna hit Snell, I hope. Even the outs were hit hard.

I might be crazy, but it definitely looked like Marte touched the bag before the ball got there. You could clearly see it on the slow mo replay that the bag moves slightly before the ball reached the glove.

I hate these scheduling shenanigans... I'm going to the game tomorrow (optimism) and I still don't know what time it starts!
