You keep trying to wish cast the Mets as this collapsing disaster who will forfeit the division to some bullshit team.

They've been playing at a 100 win pace for months. They just so happen to be battling the defending world champs who've been on a warpath.
It's pretty hilarious to think the Mets are in trouble of collapsing more than the Yankees, considering the Yankees have been actively collapsing for the last month or so.

If the Braves catch the Mets - it’s a disaster.

As shite as the Yankees have been - they’re not losing first place .and will 97-100 games .

The Mets aren't collapsing. They're playing pretty to very good baseball while the Braves have been the best team in baseball since June.

They're 35 games over .500 How is that a collapse?

I get it that it's historically "cool" to bash on them and until they win a WS, they're not going to be taken seriously (thanks Wilpons). It's some contrarian Pitchfork Media hipster stuff. Whatever.

This day off due to rain may have helped them. That will be determined tomorrow and Wednesday.

The Mets are getting in at worst as WC 1. 27 games to go. They got like 10-17 and that should do it. That kinda stinks but they'll be fine against the Phillies or Padres. Phillies they've owned this year. Padres are stacked but aren't a unit.

The Braves are going to be a tough out. Let's all watch how they handle Seattle who might be this year's "pesky Wildcard team" to go on a crazy run.

I'm still hoping the Brewers can find a way to get in over the Cardinals but it's not looking good for them.

Please elaborate with facts not bashing.

Facts ?

Did you watch the chipper Jones era ?

The Braves are your boogeyman…

The Braves lost Freddie Freeman- The Mets have it all going the closer the manager the fans the owner etc …

It’s your time

The only reason we won is because Minnesota employees an asinine policy of taking out the starter when is the third time around… We had no chance of hitting that dude.

The depth on this team is embarrassing this lineup is barely AAA minus judge .

I’ll take the W but it was fortunate.

Lastly - On field interviews after a regular season game broadcasted over the stadium completely absurd.

Took care of business tonight. Good to see the bats come alive. But still a little too many RISP LOB.

Ever since they won the championships, not ’09, all the championships before that, we know who built the team and it wasn’t Brian Cashman. it was obviously Stick Michael and Bob Watson.

And post-dynasty, whether it’s [Jeff] Weaver, whether it’s Kevin Brown, whether it’s Randy Johnson, whether it’s Sonny Gray, whether it’s Jacoby Ellsbury or Gary Sheffield or [Jason] Giambi or other veteran retread starting pitchers, or [Bobby] Abreu playing the outfield, or [Josh] Donaldson’s dopey two-year, $50 million deal or [Aaron] Hicks’ asinine seven-year deal or [DJ] LeMahieu, who looks like he’s 50. DJ LeMahieu looks like he’s done. Giving him six years, or trading a middle of the rotation lefty [Montgomery] for a guy who’s a soft-hitting center fielder.

Let’s just be clear about this, and I say this with no pride or joy but I do say this with conviction. Brian Cashman has not earned the right to rebuild this team the way this team needs to be rebuilt.”

With today's win, the NY Yankees (82-54) now have the third-longest streak of consecutive winning seasons in North American major team sports.

It's amazing the Yankees, with unlimited resources, cannot find a viable 3 hitter to protect Judge.

I wouldn't pitch to him. You have the Mendoza conga line proceeding him

In reality, they have extremely limited resources, a limitation they put on themselves to save a few cents.
