Bahhh I didn’t even mention the World Series slapping….

Laugh my ass off what are the Mets done in the last five years? At least the Yankees are always in the mix do you know when the last time we were under 500? You weren’t even born.

The Marlins have just as many world series titles as the Yanks over the past 20 years.

I hate the Mets, (friends and relatives rivalry which subway series only enhanced) but always keep it civil in here and enjoy the discussions about both teams.

But ngl I get the popcorn out whenever kokur starts stirring shit up lol

The Mets fan despises the Yankees …
For obvious reasons - 27 rings - a jeter run core 4 run like no other ..
Never under . 500
Always In the post season Always
The Yankees make the playoffs 13 years in a row and finally missed in 2008 and then won the World Series in 2009 lol.

Yes it’s true they have not won the World Series in 2009 but also the sports landscape has changed as well as the finances in baseball… Where a lot of Yankee money is being spread out to teams like Tampa Bay and Kansas City and Houston to keep the shit franchises in those mediocre baseball cities afloat.

I don’t hate the Mets most Yankee fans do not it actually feels unnatural to beat your chest after beating the Mets…

I will say this though… If the Mets somehow get around the Dodgers and go to the World Series and the Yankees somehow get around the Astros and go to the World Series… The Yankees have everything to lose in a subway series and very little to gain besides obviously the ring .

And honestly I’m not sure the Yankees would beat the Mets in a seven game series.
I had no doubt we would win in 2000.

I hated the Yankees as a kid but after such a painful decade for NY sports, I would be content to see the city get a championship in any sport again. That does not include include the Islanders, screw them

Cortes is having his innings limited - he’s never thrown over 115 he’s @ 130 now .
So he might have a “ strain” but this was probably planned as the schedule is soft now.

Oakland & Pittsburgh should be disbanded
Combine them and give them to Montreal .

Escobar close to returning. Suspect Baty will be sent back down. Needs more reps in AAA.

This is the Yankees get right moment… a fiery W v Toronto and Mets sweep .. now comes a winnable road trip …

Cabrera has brought some much needed swagger … he’s got an attitude and flare ..he’s put ikf and gleyber on alert as well …

The Yankees are still overly business like -buttoned up pinstripes short hair etc look at the Mets it’s like a Mardi Gras parade - yellow hair - fat guys - Grimey - beards - trumpets …

Yankees need to lighten up ffs

not to mention those orange and blue unis they wear lol (I kid I kid)

In other news the Mets and yanks haven’t extended Alonso and judge.

Judge's age is such a deal breaker for Cashman. The Arod deal still haunts the team and they really don't want to make the same mistake. Different era, different player, but my instinct says the Yankees won't end up resigning Judge due to those late 30's years on the contract.

Givens is awful—this was their big bullpen addition?
Givens gave this game away. Don't see them making a comeback tonight. Braves are winning too

McNeil thrown out at the plate proves big too. They need to dial back the aggressiveness rounding third
