The Yankees are very much like the Dallas Cowboys- 8-0 vs the division- bullies until they get punched in mouth .

They can hit good pitching - they can’t win close games on the road.
The manager can’t run a pen .

And Montgomery shoved it up Boones ass with a smile .

Yankees are in major trouble.

I’d fire Boone if it continues .

Mets are pretty good. They put together consistently good ABs, have excellent starting pitching, and play a really smart brand of baseball. Buck is really, really good back there, too.

As long as the Yankees slump ends before the postseason starts, that's all that matters. The Yankees are going to make the playoffs by a landslide, the season doesn't really matter much at this point. Better this happens now than in the playoffs.

I would say they still did the whole prospect hugging thing, they made a lot of trades, and gave up what one top 100 prospect in Waldichuck, who is probably in that 51-100 range.
